Was Xe'ra good or evil?

Name ONE insult? Mind you, mine was AFTER you insulted me. All I said intitially is you been posting opinions and guiding them as facts.

But you can’t see beyond your own imaginary religious victim complex to actually have a conversation.

So, no. I will not be apologizing for your actions

Go ahead, name any of the insults I supposedly gave to you.

Funny that you accuse me of having a religious victim complex… after several people repeatedly made personal attacks against me regarding my religious beliefs.

Because you twisted the light into being representive of your own faith. That’s why people mock you. You can’t even seperate the two

That’s not true and you know it. Now where is the insult I supposedly made against you? (Addendum: still haven’t seen it as of typing this bracketed text)

Of course it’s true. You get extremely hostile towards anyone disagreeing with what the light represents. It’s funny how multiple people told you that you’re the problem in these discussions, but still want to play the victim

This thread was created to defend the Light and Xe’ra as personal representations of your beliefs, and has turned into you calling everyone who disagrees a literal pagan and a heretic.

You’re a Scarlet Crusader, my man. The Light isn’t real, it’s just a yellow coloring of Green Lantern physics from DC. This game isn’t your church, and you don’t get to make it so. Why does a fictional universe have to mirror your IRL beliefs? Touch the grass, as the kids say.

Wrong. Several people have said the Light is a neutral force and I don’t challenge that.

I’ve also disagreed with a few in this thread, and they (unlike you and a few others) didn’t mock me and I didn’t mock them.

Now if you’re not going to tell me the insult I supposedly made against you, can we get back to the original topic of the thread?

Wrong, it was to make people think and possibly uncover double standards since I’ve seen people who slap the evil label on Xe’ra didn’t do this for other WoW characters who did far worse.

You have no arguments so you’re using personal attacks, you’re being weak and puerile because it seems to be all you have now.

If you don’t have anything productive to add to lore discussions, can you please stop trying to troll me?

The part of my argument that you highlighted serves as direct opposition to your answer.

Writing what I have already written in another way, I do not deny that Light can be used for evil and, consequently, cause some harm. However, naturally the Light is beneficial to our characters, the mortals. So that’s the rule.

If you’ll allow me to be real with you here, this is the issue: it’s the dishonesty, the insistence on putting up some kind of smokescreen and pretending that this isn’t about a desire to force your beliefs into a video game.

If you were straight about it and your desires, everyone is fine with that, because then everyone is on the same page, and can talk in a meaningful way. Everyone is happy to do that, but you gotta drop the facade like this was IRL politics.

Say. What. You. Mean. No code words, no dogwhistles.

Interestingly, Revendreth doesn’t prove a point against the Light, because the Ember Ward was retaliation for a Death incursion into the Light realms. Nathrezim pushed, Naaru pushed back.

What do you think of the lore stating that the origin of the WoW universe was a Big Bang caused by the clash between the Light and the Void? Is that still canon? Would that make Light and Void the opposite forces akin to Dualism? What would that mean for the Naaru being able to go between Light and Void?

This thread is about the Naaru Xe’ra and moral views concerning her. It’s not even about the Light itself or any group of Light worshippers. So even if I were hypothetically trying to do what you accuse me of, I wouldn’t do it this way.

My friends, this thread is just too weak, pagan, and puerile for me.

I hope this was a constructive exercise in the pointlessness of discussing this topic with a zealot.

You’re just taking the coward’s way out because your strawman against me is falling apart.

It makes me chuckle a bit when people say this…. reminds me of a Trade Chat Troll across various servers I saw during the Cata era, who would say things like “sign the after david” instead of affidavit. He would also say “and you know it” after every weird argument.

I think he was making a joking impression of a country bumpkin. I saw the same name doing it across various servers.

Odd. Never heard that phrase associated with country bumpkins before. Anyway, got anything to add?

So basically it’s a weapon of fear? A tool of the Sinestro Corps?

That would go along with what Christianity uses as it’s main selling point… fear that a God invented by ancient goat herders is going to SPANK you.

Nah, but whenever you get deflective and refuse to engage in actual discussions, I don’t see the need to further engage with you.

Would you dare say that again, but replace “Christianity” with another religion? You’re doing the “all powerful, powerless enemy” propaganda beloved by fascists again.

Do you have anything relevant to add that isn’t parroting r/atheism or trolling?

Have a wonderful day guys. Only advice I can give is stop entertaining his nonsense and hope the mods lock this thread

Absolutely if you had yoked that religion to your cart. But you didn’t. No other religion poses the existential threat to MY real life family that Christianity does. No other religion went down every January to crusade to roll back women’s rights to abortion, to birth control, to protection agsinst spousal r**pe, to hide what it’s priests were doing to children. Jews don’t believe in converting others and Buddhists for the most part are the ultimate in live and let live.

Christians however can’t abide the fact that their neighbor isn’t mouthing the same devotions they do, believe in the jack boot morality they preach. They can’t even see Aheism for anything another religion judging from the posts I field in Quora.

If any of them did half the things American Christianity calls routine, I’d be calling the hammer down on them just as fervently. To me they’re just as mythological as Christanity is… but they’re williing to let me and mine be. Christians aren’t. They’re looking for the next Presidential election to give them license to expand their hatred… and they’re probably going to get it.

Singling me out and ignoring bigotry from others? Pathetic. But I forgive you.
