Was WOW token good for the player base overall

It just put the money in blizz pocket instead of RMT websites, it let those who wanted pay2win gold get it fast, and it let’s those with crazy in game gold pay their sub and essentially play for free each month if they can keep buying them on AH and making their gold back.

1-60? I’m sure some people could do it in less time with the aid of adderal, a monster, and hatred for the sun. Even if it only took 2 hours, it would still be worth it for me to instead just spend the $60 to get to 60 instantly.

yes waiting 12 hours for your gold is instantaneous. its not pay to win. just because you refuse to acknowledge people pointing that out to you doesn’t change the facts. playing the ah well nets you wayyyyy more gold than a token would. you think people are dropping 300 bucks on wow tokens at a time for long boy mounts and such you are crazy. when wow has loot boxes and tier + gear in the shop and +20k spellpower for 2 hours pots on the shop then you can cry all day about it being pay to win.

i mean adding up the adderall monster and for me weed to get to 60 is prolly 60 bucks or more on its own. but then the journey is alot more fun to i guess haha. my issue is when they try to equate real life time/money making to video game played time and efficiency lol as if they are somehow connected lol.

Yes you can… If you shell out enough gold you can buy a stacked whatever you want and have all of the gear fed to you.

I’ve purchased 3 tokens since its been introduced and not once have I ever had an instance in which selling the token took longer than an hour or so.

Who says I’m crying? I’m making an observation. I don’t care one way or the other but it’s still P2W. Just because I observe it as P2W doesn’t mean I’m upset over it.

And when you’re having a back and forth discussion with someone, and they KEEP answering the things they have argument for (weak or strong), but then obviously AVOID the things they cannot refute …

You’re just gonna pretend it’s all “meh… didn’t feel like answering that one today.”

Okay.

No you repeatedly arguing with everyone and posting on the topic says otherwise.

If Blizzard was selling you the gold it would be instant, every single time. But they don’t sell gold do they…

I’m sorry that you’re incapable of divorcing your emotions from objective analysis but that doesn’t mean I’m the same way.

The WoW token is P2W. I view it as P2W. If you don’t, great! I do, and if someone is going to tell me that I’m wrong, I’m going to refute that. That’s how discourse works.

I mean he tried to pull this on me when I didn’t address his points earlier. Ironic.

What was you argument then before the token existed? If wow has always been pay to win why the rage?

I have no rage about nothing… I’m simply pointing out that wow most definitely is a pay to win game…

As to your question, prior to the token you had to purchase your gold illicitly which potentially endangered your account… The token made it commonly acceptable.

Did we ever even get into a conversation? I don’t recall you originally posting this question. From my perspective you just jumped in the middle of a conversation to point out this question that never got answered, claiming I’m avoiding it.

Instead of assuming people are avoiding your question because you think it’s undeniable or whatever, why not try another approach and see what you get.

It’s an open forum. Everyone is reading and responding.

You think this is all about YOU? lol

But for the people that want to engage in the conversation (this can include you) then… don’t be surprised when people call you out for cherry-picking the things you want to respond to.

Evidenced by the fact you didn’t say: “I don’t know what you’re referring to.”

And instead said: “I’m not answering that.”

Or you just farmed the gold on your own and bought the carry?

The number 1 downside is that the game is now designed to have more tedious grinds that can be greased away by purchase of an item in the cash shop.

This is also something every pay to win game has.

Evidence A: Wrathion/Sabellion rep.

I’m not going to respond to every post. That’s not cherry picking, are we going for the redefining of cherry picking now too?

I didn’t say every one. In fact, I explicitly detailed WHAT YOU JUST SAID at the end of my post.

Almost as if I knew you were going to say that very thing.

gg being so predictable.

Also an excellent point. I think what a lot of people don’t realize is that, if there’s something on the cash shop that has an effect on your experience in the game, it will almost certainly affect the game at large.

I think most people just don’t really pay attention to this characteristic in WoW because WoW is already a grindy game, so it’s easy to just push that to the side and not think about it.
