The meta “developing organically” or like not really. I couldn’t tell.
No it wasn’t. Tournament was more unbalanced than Retail is because melee classes don’t stand a chance versus casters, without Absorb gear.
Just proves how dumb most forum posters are.
Crying and crying about melee being too strong when all we see winning is caster cleaves. Winning warlock team literally had their warlock sit in middle the whole entire game, he never even moved once. he just stood there spamming chaos bolts and fears lol. People say that casters require skill? lol. Makes me laugh srs.
I dont know how people can be so dumb but its amusing.
A warlock literally sitting in mid the entire game, never had to los a single spell. just stay still and press 5 buttons max the entire game… somehow wins. SO MUCH SKILL to pull that one off.
How many tournaments have you won?
Not defending the state of the game or that some casters are pretty dumbed down, but there was a LOT more going on than just standing in the middle and casting a couple of spells. The warlock sat in mid because the spec that he was playing demanded him to do so in order to maximize efficiency with the comp they were playing. The warlock did not have to LoS a single spell in the final game series because they were mainly playing against a frost mage which does relatively low damage and puts no pressure (until late dampening kicks in) while also the warlock was getting trained by an assassination rogue all game. So LoSing spells would just be a disadvantage for his team, for the spec is designed to stand out in the open and bring chaos to the opposing team.
Are we ignoring the differences between live and the tournament realm?
Are we ignoring The Boy’s victory over Change My Mind? Are we ignoring Method Black swapping comps to TWD to beat The Boys in game 5?
I feel like we watched different games, especially if that’s what you think after seeing Chanimal play.
hmmm didn’t know ladder and tourney = same thing
your obvious lack of experience is showing
they were missing thier 4th so yeah…
we are ignoring that “win”
also, yikes these forums are so awful these days
2k resto druid rbg main
ok for the 5th consecutive year
How can you even compare live to TR and say a statement like this?
m:black with swapxy aka ‘pve lord supreme’ loses vs rmd
*…crickets *
c9 with one of the world’s best locks wins vs same team
*…REEEEEEEE *
forums crack me up lol
Tournaments aren’t that representative of overall balance, we’re talking about players usually playing at the very top of the game.
Plus, the gear differences between TR and ladder are pretty massive this expansion. This affects the meta as well.
can u stop posting? u post every 2 days saying how horrible the forums are and keep running back
also I can’t remember anyone posting on the forums with such an undeserved ego it’s kinda scary
Dude stop defending how disgustingly broken PvE gear is
Once more it wasn’t even wizards it was just mage rdruid was a good answer to melee cleaves and there’s nothing wrong with that anyways - if mage rdruid wasn’t a viable answer to them it’d be pretty silly plus not a lot of teamswere entirely prepared for that. DhDk was played a lot earlier on so the mage rdruid comps got used as an answer when having another caster like destro to stop mana burn strats but it doesn’t mean melee cleaves are bad at all lol.
Melee cleaves were really good answers to the other variants of melee caster healer or even the shadowpriest rdruid comps. RPD made it really far too but realistically they shouldn’t have they just had a good run and the melee cleaves didn’t play as well that say into them a bit - even if you talked with them they’d say the same that they shouldn’t have lost.
Mage rdruid destro is the only really good wizard answer to melee cleaves - maybe one of the only comps in general that is without playing another melee cleave too and there’s actually nothing wrong with that especially when a worse MLD is going to lose to melee cleaves.
Top tier mld as a caster cleave will beat melee cleaves similar to them in skill, but at any lower skill level and anywhere that’s not the absolute best of the best that won’t apply
PvE gear is absolutely disgusting and there’s also no reason to defend it. Not even the melee cleave players want it in the game that were there. Everyone thinks it’s disgusting. Only a fool would want those items in the game and say “hur dur only way melee can beat wizards” when you’re not even close to the skill level where wizards should be beating melee consistently enough and it was literally only one wizard comp with the absolute best of their class having an incredible performance.
PVE gear was banned from tourny so why can’t it be banned from ladder?
Also ya, destro wasn’t farming melee cleaves, mage/druid was preventing the picks. MLD is simply a never ending cc spaming triangle comp so the lock gets the love it needs when it needs it.
Lastly, Toxicvirgin seems like a nice christian boy name.
Yeah I hope this happens soon, the gear is super gross
Only things I’m maybe ok with at this point are things like the caster damage trinket and leather legs because they at least make people die - way too many items prevent death and thats unnacceptable in an already slow meta.
Imagine the 8.2 plot twist, some lore stuff about Magni later and legion artifact abilities make a comeback??
Predamp dying? HuHe!
havent done an rbg since cata
havent done arena since beginning of season
also ???
I’m still waiting for them to nerf health pools and increase damage for underperforming classes. Games should never be determined on which healer is able to get drinks or is overwhelmed by dampening effects. Every game is supposed to showcase the result of skill, practice, and coordination. C9 was a great example of how an unbeatable team should look like considering they were solid in almost every aspect of gameplay, but then again dampening games were so prevalent where it should question the developers whether this is a direction they want to keep up with in the future.
I’m sure more than half the PvP player base detests seeing and participating in long dampening matches. The tourney would have been much more fun to watch if the effectiveness of cooldowns was increased and damage was proportionate to healing potency. And imo, as I stated earlier, this would be achieved by nerfing health pools and increasing sustained damage for some classes.
