Literally no one is doing it.
I tried to do it myself but the zombies are extremely weak and they don’t spread plague and resurrect a new zombie in its place like I remember. If I try to bring the plague to a major city, it just gets dispelled by a argent healer or player.
Is there some information I’m missing? Was the event nerfed or something…?
The event gets progressively worse. We’re on day 2.

Okay, then when is the event worth logging into and doing?
Yup. Very underwhelming thus far but it gets worse overtime, this is only phase one.
It was garbage on Benediction yesterday. I spent 2 hours yesterday attempting to infect Stormwind. As soon as I entered, I was dead in 6 seconds flat. OR if I managed to live long enough to actually get anywhere, I was killed by the OP argent healers. Even if people did manage to infect others, the crowds of paladins, shamans and priests were just dispelling it.
I’m hoping it really picks up in the next few days when we enter phase two.
Happen to know when that is?
protip you can right click off the “buff” the argent healers give you to instakill you at 3 stacks
It’s supposed to get worse each day. We’re on day 2, and it’s SUPPOSED to bring the plague crates and infected roaches to capital cities and the disease is supposed to last 5 minutes. But none of those things are happening. So we probably got a watered down version to keep people from crying.
If what people are saying is true and Blizzard is interfering this much with the original event; goes to show what we’re going to expect for the rest of the expansion

Gotta keep the snowflakes from crying about being griefed. They complained back then too so today the forums would be nothing but posts complaining about how they can’t play.
It amazes me how little effort people put in to finding out simple things, to the point of stubbornly avoiding it. But you’ll go to the forums and complain about it. It takes more effort to be this clueless.
