Was the Forum Changed to Hide Player Likes?

I can’t see them anymore from anyone else but I can see my likes on other people’s posts. Is this a change or a bug?

I’m also getting server 500 errors.

The forums are currently being updated. The process can take several hours so while that is happening you may see some wonkiness.

I’m not aware of any intended changes to likes, so we’ll just have to see what happens when it is complete. If it is still not working the same we can see if that is a bug. Would seem like a weird thing to change to me so probably a bug.

I couldn’t say, Gumberculeez, as far as I know this update is on the forum software, etc… not specifically cosmetic as in style.

The entire process usually takes about 6-8 hours, it goes through all of our forums and we have a lot of them.

Hopefully it tweaks some more, the new layout is so padded on mobil, can only see like 6 topics!

Comments like the “it’s god awful” are not helpful for anyone looking to identify/fix any actual problems. When I look at the forum the only thing I really see thats a problem is the bug I opened about the search. However obviously you could be seeing different issues. Don’t simply expect Support will see your issue, always give pertinent details on what the issue is and if possible the steps you are doing or how to replicate it.

If you actually feel there are bugs/issues. User the forum linked above for Website Bug Reports. Be specific as to the problem you’re seeing, don’t make general “fix the forums” posts. Identify the issue, then provide information about your device, type of device such as phone, laptop, tablet. What is the OS, and what are the screen dimensions assuming it’s a visual web page issue. This extremely important many browser pages have different configurations based on the screen size your device reports it has.

As for the update, just my pure speculation is that it was simply a forum update to bring it up to a more recent version, and was likely done to improve overall security, not for feature changes or updates, since with the recent rise in attacks like DDOS attacks, they are likely trying to eliminate any opportunity for attack even if very minor.

While I am unfamiliar with what Forum Software Blizzard uses, I suspect the problem is mostly with the CSS files, which will manage how people view and see the pages on different devices, and which could cause a number of problems.
