Was Precog accidentally nerfed?

The Precog buff duration was increased to 5 seconds from 4 seconds in 10.0.5. Since 10.1, the Precog buff from the embellishment is only 4 seconds. I don’t remember reading anywhere that they intended to revert Precog back to 4 seconds with 10.1.

Please give 5 second Precog back ty.

It really seems like an accidental change though. I can’t find any patch or ptr notes saying this was an intended change to the embellishment. They made it 5 seconds because 4 seconds was too weak. Some healers are already starting to run 2x mastery embellishments instead of precog.

The pvp intern probably copied the old 4 second version of the precog when making the embellishment.

precog duration should be equal to the kick duration so 2 seconds if u juke wind shear and 5 seconds if you juke spell lock

Presumably a nerf offset its increased availability in the form of an embellishment rather than honor talent.

Oh, right, kick/cc reduction across the board.

Honestly if you interrupt the tyrant, half the time it would bug and just run to the target instead of casting because lol pet AI. Now I legit just kill the tyrant and it’s even less a big deal.

Yes, presumably that might be a good reason to nerf it to 4 seconds, but it still wasn’t in any notes that I can find. The buff to 5 seconds was in the notes, but the nerf back to 4 was not. Thats why it could be accidental

Even if they nerfed some cc/kick durations, the extra second of immunity with 5 second precog does not necessarily make it too strong. The number of gcds you can cast in 5 seconds doesnt really change pre/post 10.1 cc changes.

sounds like you were fighting against 1400 demo locks that didnt put your team in a triple 8 second cc chain during their tyrant go

To be fair with you, the CC was a problem if your team didn’t focus the lock. That also said you’d have to cleave the felguard twice to really get rid of it. But with the reduction of CC and the heavier cast requirements to them, it doesn’t feel as bad to play against them.

I also thing melee will adjust to precog, I remember always waiting to ensure a kick back in the RMP days of Legion, it really will improve a lot of games if people get used to it in RSS.
