Warsong Gulch War Games

LOL…at least your honest Comrade !

That’s what I’ve been doing all weekend though.

So your premise is so premades can competitively compete with each other for fun? Interesting.
So what happens when those who solo queue figure out wargames could be used for those fun pug games they have been crying for?
This could seriously change the meta. What happens if all of the pugs start doing only wargames for fun?
I know there’s a bunch of solo rankers but there’s still a good number who only queue for fun.
This could destroy the delicate ecosystem of pugstomp. Might wanna think this through some more. Lol.

for fun warsongers rise up pog

So I logged in and noticed if you type /wg you get the error message. Guess we got additional changes afterall. Ooooooh well.

Edit: From what I’ve been told, you need to have the other leader on your bnet list, faction doesn’t matter. /wg bnetname warsong - you need atleast 5 people in each group to open the game

Classic+ > #nochanges

Totally agree!

We should be looking to expand the accessibility to WSG and get the players playing in as many high quality matches as possible! Would absolutely love this addition to the NA/EU servers!

You can already do wargames on NA servers.

Should be patched out if that’s the case.

Nah, good changes are good. This doesn’t pop the little “No-changers” bubbles, imo.

How often do you play Warsong Gulch? Do you PUG or premade?

Been playing all weekend. Premade, of course.

Wargames are a cool addition but have no place in Classic. The command is leftover from the newer client.

You should go play it as a PUG for a weekend, might give you a different perspective.

Why would I go out of my way to give myself a severe disadvantage? I want to play with a team that I can improve with, not random strangers that can’t organise themselves.

The current WG exploit doesn’t even help pugs, I’m not sure why you think it would.

If it doesn’t give honor I don’t see the problem.

I’m sure it already does. Wargames weren’t intended.

Regardless, it’s a feature that doesn’t exist in Classic and therefore, shouldn’t be in the game.

Transmogs don’t give honor, would be a harmless change, no?

It absolutely helps PUGs - not all of us are on the same server, especially alliance side where populations across PVP servers have been severely displaced. This allows friends to play with friends. It has notable impacts on RP servers as well for other reasons.

I wonder how many people have dismissed Classic PVP as stupid because they never got a chance to see what it is through either not understanding that premades on their server exist, or just being stomped by a premade as a PUG and never setting foot in there again.

With Warcraft PVP being such a minority culture in general - across both Classic and Retail - shouldn’t we be encouraging eachother to do better and helping fresh players improve at their own pace, instead of forming premades just to bully them out of it?

News is spreading that you can form a wargame by having two different bnet players organising separate teams together.

You are meant to create friends within your own server, you’re not supposed to group reliably with friends from another realm. That’s not a feature of Classic.

That’s not a feature of Vanilla, you mean - and even Vanilla had cross server battlegroups, they were just much smaller than what we see in Classic.

The entire way BGs are done has been opposite of the #nochanges rule from the get go. So why do you premade Warsong instead of boycott it?
