I play an Arms Warrior and use the Bartender addon. I want to put all my spells/macros under the Battle Stance icon and none under the Defensive Stance or Berserker Stance icons. I want to be able to cast Mortal Strike from Battle Stance using a macro that will switch me from Battle Stance to Berserker Stance, cast the spell and then automatically switch me back to Battle Stance. I want to do this for all my other offensive spells that are eligible to use in Berserker Stance. Basically, I want to be able to have all my spells under Battle Stance but be able to auto switch over to Berserker Stance, use them and then switch back to Battle Stance, so I’m always in that stance by default. What is the proper macro command that will allow me to do this?
There is no macro that can do this, and it doesn’t sound like you want to play a warrior.
You can have a macro that switches you into zerk stance and then uses the ability, but it can’t switch you into a stance and then back into your original stance in a single macro.
put /cast battle stance in every spell you want to press in battle
then for ms use /cast berserker stance and /cast mortal strike
it will do as you wish cause your next spell will be in /cast battle stance and do the backswitching role
but mind if i ask you if thats for pve or pvp purposes?
I sigh every time I see someone attempting to make a Onebuttonwin macro.
MMOs inherently have several buttons. It’s not even that much to work out. You’ll be alright.
warrior in the classic cycle has an unpractical toolkit while having a super simple focus
those macros are most of need cause makes the class from unplayable to super simple and enjoyable
nothing to do with onebuttonwin macros, its a need
it sure gets more organized from vanilla to cata but still
Make stance dance macros. Macro your “best” stance for the ability into the ability itself. Hunters do the same for Hawk/Fox. Just remember if you have your action bars to swap based on stance, you’ll have to add these macros to every bar for every stance.

you don’t need stance macro’s to be effective. In fact its probably a dps loss.
are you a fury warrior joining the superior since forever spec? ![]()
well it depends bud
im a pvper so generally speaking i have to swap stances to overpower, revenge, reflect so on and so forth
some of those lost requirements through the classic cycle like reflect not being bound to def stance and berserker rage not being bound to berserker stance, which made things less macro reliant but thats what classic warrior is
PVE. Thanks so much for the help. I prefer Fury but don’t have the gear to make it competitive yet.
It seems so. I forget about the pvp side of things. I haven’t since wintergrasp was a baby tbh and I did enjoy my filthy casual pve andy posterior in Tol Borad back then too.
Always preferred arms though, no offense intended to anyone but I always found fury cheesy and I probably never took stance dancing that seriously anyway.
You can’t do that you’d have to macro it like this
#showtooltip Mortal Strike
/cast Berserker Stance
/cast Mortal Strike
#showtooltip Rend
/cast Battle Stance
/cast Rend
Macros don’t function the way you want and a cast sequence macro wouldn’t work either because they only work until a GCD occurs.
For example, I can use Nitro Boosts and Arcane Explosion into a castsequence macro because the Nitro Boosts don’t trigger a GCD but Arcane Explosion does so if I wanted to also add another ability like Ice Lance it’d only cast Nitro and AE.
So you could use a cast sequence macro to use X stance then Y ability but you wouldn’t be able to then set it to Z stance because the abilities GCD broke the sequence.
tauri-veins dot com , Arms warrior page, thwere’s a macro section there. I couldnt post the link, but you will find it all there.
Make a macro for every ability you see on that page, they all work and I use them everyday. Makes Arms braindead easy.
As others have pointed out, this isn’t quite supported by the macro system. Swapping to a stance incurs a GCD.
What you can do though is something like swap stances if not in a particular stance. I haven’t been playing Warrior in Cata Classic, so I’m not sure which abilities are limited to which stances, but for WoW Classic, I might have a macro that uses Execute or Taunt depeneding on stance (1. Battle Stance, 2. Defensive Stance, 3. Berserker Stance), like this:
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1/3] Execute; [stance:2] Taunt;
You could also rewrite that as:
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Taunt; Execute
Since if you’re not in stance two, you will be in either stance 1 or 3.
If you want to swap stances with the same key, it will require pressing it multiple times due to the GCD…
#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:1] Battle Stance; Sweeping Strikes
Which could alternatively be written something like:
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Sweeping Strikes; Battle Stance
Anyway, it’s probably worth spending some time playing around with macros so you can come up with ones that fit your own preferred playstyle.
