Warrior is legitimately unplayable at higher MMR (3s)

Only 2 warriors in the top 100 3v3 ladder. The #1 warrior doesn’t even appear until ladder position 46.

Second one is rank 50.

Then it’s nothing until the 3rd one at 115.

Currently floating around top 10 for warrs and it’s one of the worst experiences I’ve ever been through playing this game as a warr. 0 reason to be playing this class anymore when rogue/feral exist.

Stormbolt should’ve never received -1 second duration on its stun, don’t know why this ever happened yet rogue and feral were able to keep the large stuns they have, like my feral alt literally has 3 of them, Maim 5 sec stun on 20 sec cd btw

We take some of the most damage the entire game to the point where running Safeguard (talent that gives 2 vene charges + 20% DR) is not advised, pressing intervene at the moment basically kills you and puts you on the backfoot immediately

Devs have no idea what to even do with arms and keep forcing bleed playstyle down its throat and giving it awful/clunky design this expac

Enraged regen has to be one of the worst major defensives in the game, regularly die through this as if it didn’t even do anything

Rally is such an awful cooldown now basically does nothing

Non-passive talents such as spear, shattering throw, bitter immunity are so bad and don’t have any impact on the game that people don’t even play them.

Useless pvp talents aside from the mandatory hardlock of sharpen or slaughterhouse and battlefield commander. Banner CD is too long, too easy to kill, and the range is too short. Everything else is gutted or does nothing

this is only half of Arms problems, but agree, it feels really, really bad right now. It feels even worse with gear than it did with honor gear, i don’t think weapon and 4 piece is going to change anything either. Definitely won’t help survivability. Ignore pain reduces 4-500k dmg once every 12 s, if ur not CCed and can afford half your rage bar… thats not even 10% of your life!, then you have a 2 min defensive dbts that is just as useless if not worse than enraged regen.

I have to use my only defensive as arms within the first 5-10 seconds of a match, almost every time im looked at, there’s no way around it, or else dead as soon as ur stunned or disarmed.

Ya… but they will tell you, fury is OP and Arms is good. lol

warrior is only strong at low ratings. Where people dont understand control.

its outmatched and outclassed in almost every lobby/comp, and doesn’t even have an S or dare i say A tier viable comp to play. Yeah you can play war x ret / dk / hunter, but why would anyone want to play with a warrior over another spec thats better in every way?

wish they’d remove the modifier on warpaint ; or even buff it up to 15% fury would feel really good

the only thing more boring than fury is arms when it does mediocre relevant damage that sometimes crits for big relevant damage on accident

i love being a cringe rdruid dampener as much as the next guy but cds not doing anything has really been so boring for half the specs in the game and fury while stupid at least feels like it does something sometimes

No idea why they even nerfed it in DF anyway. Arms was barely relevant outside of retwar when they hit it in S2, and the mod just hasn’t been deleted still.

They wanted to move damage out of cds and into sustained damage

but for some reason only in cds like feral spirits and warbreaker

Its the same for most other melees as well. Basically same situation for WW if you look at the ladder.

And on Tuesday, Feral gets even stronger because the buffs to the bleedings are a lot stronger than the nerf to the bite!

Every time I fight Magnus in 2s all I can think is how unstoppable his damage feels actually.

Mag is a terrible example. He not only is one of the best but he also plays with Dino almost exclusively who enables his damage almost perfectly.

Personally I’d rather they buff impending victory and their wall just so it’s something they have to use at the correct times instead of passive tankiness.

Also one thing this shift to more sustained has done is magnify the issues with specs that don’t have 100% uptime and I think that’s a much bigger (maybe impossible) problem to solve than us just having a burst meta again like SL. I advocated for a more sustained meta but honestly I was wrong and see now it just causes more problems that it solves. Just returning to that could solve a lot of issues for many specs imo (ranged included).

I have been qued up with Manus a few times in solol and his damage is insane.

Oh I’m well aware he’s the top .01% of the class. I was just being cheeky with my response. Either way I think Warrior is in a strong spot overall. Melee cleaves in 3s feel pretty tough from my experience if they play it right. About 2k CR myself currently.

There is literally 0 reason to play with a warrior over other melee atm. This is a really delusional thing to type.
