Warrior - gnome or orc? PVP

So…what’s better for arena? Gnome or Orc?

My thoughts, but would like feedback. Orc resist stun is useful against perhaps pallies and most importantly rogues. are rogues a bigger bane against warriors than say mages or other rooting types when you don’t have escape artist?

Seems like the warrior is going to get rooted/slowed immobilized a ton in 2v2 arena as an orc, but you’d have a chance to ruin rogue combos.

Secondary consideration…the honor grind must be god awful for horde? Having to re-grind new battleground pieces every single season into a horrificly long BG queue for horde due to factino imbalance? Pushes me more toward gnome perhaps.

Orc. Hardiness + Arms talents make you resist about 1/3 of all stuns. Passively. It’s disgusting. Resisting a HoJ, Intimidate, Cheap or Kidney Shot, mace stun or Stormherald proc, a pounce-cyclone or a Blackout proc? I mean these are potentially game-winning resists. Not even counting Blood Fury.

Sure, Escape Artist can be strong. Particularly if you’re playing without a magic dispel (Such as Arms/Rdruid). It’s arguably the strongest Alliance warrior racial. But it’s lightyears behind Hardiness.

Thanks that’s what I wanted to know!

I personally disagree and would never rely on a passive chance ability over an on demand use ability, i play a gnome and like it. It’s up to whoever you are as a person and what you like, maybe you like looking at Orc player model/animation more than gnome, just with me like i said i prefer gnome, and i will say i prefer Escape Artist racial even over Will of The Forsaken racial.

you don’t have to regrind every season, i think you’ll only ever be able to buy season 2 pieces with honor/bg marks WITHOUT arena rating. to start off with you’ll be able to buy level 70 Rare(blue) quality pvp set from Outland Reputation Quartermasters(like Cenarion Expedition in Zangarmarsh will sell a rare pvp set helm for 50g that requires revered) and then season 1 epic gear is immediately available for honor and marks, sometime shortly after Sunwell release season 2 gear will be made available simply for honor except the shoulders and weapons will still require arena rating.

lol!

And the difference in stats between season gear is so negligible it’s not even worth doing honestly lol, litearlly like s1 wand vs merciless s2 wand is +0stam+2resill +3 int, the same with other pieces, negligible upgrades, for the mage set the gloves actually downgrade by crit rating although the intellect increase levels it back out by increasing by 10. it’s still a very negligible amount, you can do fine with just s1 epic set unless you are going full on pvp mode and wanting arena competitively or whatever, the s4 set of course smashes the s1 set and the difference is quite noticeable unlike the disparity between a s1 geared player and s2/s3.

Personally if i played warrior which i never will in an xpac before mop id play gnome roots are killer and a big big deal in tbc for warriors. the chance to resist a stun is nice but its not guaranteed like the root removal.

Don’t warriers get second wind this expansion anyway? Chance to resist proccing your helpful ability doesn’t sound useful. lol

Also, let me attest, you are less likely to be targetted as a gnome from experience, yes being smaller does give you an advantage making you less noticable(i also recommend turning off titles on your nameplate for this same reason) you can hide behind stuff out of a players ACTUAL line of sight. when i was leveling my mage i hid from a 60 warrior trying to gank me in Ungoro Crater inside the body of a mob i had killed, he rode right by and didn’t even see me, i know he wasn’t just ignoring me because he tried to kill me earlier and i had killed him so he definitely woulda killed me if he saw me.

that doesn’t matter for arena though.

IDK what you are wanting to do, if you are wanting to focus pirmarily into arena i have to question why you want to do a warrior, i only recall limited viability for warriors in arena setting. my older bro told me he had a really good team with himself as a prot warr with full armor pen gear and a prot pally and a healing pally and his team demolished all other teams. i believe him he was the maintank for top raiding guild in actual vanilla on archimonde(used to be one of the top main servers.) I am not apt to give advise on how to play a warrior in TBC, i mained mage and warroir in actual vanilla and played them in classic but in TBC onward my experience with warrios is moot up till MOP bcus i played mage/rogue mains primarily.

Dude warriors in Arena are top tier in tbc…
