Warrior Completely Unplayable Into Mage

Except that the complaints were the range abilities of ret, not the melee. Being ranged down by a melee class is cool.

Well if a class can always get out of roots and snares and have as much mobility as a mage … then ofc you’re scared poopless when a melee class actually threatens to ignore the gap you ensure stays there.

But that’s none of my business, right? I’m an spriest, what do I know about trying to keep a druid and mage standing still long enough for me to crawl into their hitbox?

If they added the hamstring effect into Slam would it finally feel like a good button to press?

  • Slam the toes of your enemy with the pommel of your weapon, dealing 187,000 damage and causing them to hobble slowly in circles at 50% movement speed, hopping on one foot yelling “Ow F Gdam Ow F that hurts” for 8 seconds.

I can’t remember the last time I used slam on my warrior.

T clap has a slow on it and applies rend, putting it on Slam is the same as leaving Hamstring on the GCD. A seperate button you really don’t wanna press that feels awkward

Taking it too serious amigo, just a joke about finding some way to move slam from the spell book to the action bars

I didn’t claim 2400. Where did I claim that? I said it was free I never said I played it. I quit for years and came back in DF so it’s taking me some time to adjust since things are a lot different (not that its important). Seeing that something exists doesn’t mean you need to have experienced it. If that were true the best coaches in the NFL would be the best past players but they are not. People can realise things watching others play, id argue its even easier at times.

i have no sympathy for mage after classic revealed they were the most broken. while palas were whining about sham mage was dominating the whole game
to the ground with it

inb4 fury pve warr insanity ya whatever no one played that back in the day

mage the ultimate class in the history of the game
rogue mage priest anyone

No. Offer an actual counter argument or you “stop yappin”

You can’t say ‘2400 is free’ while being sub duelist; it doesn’t work that way.

Anyone can look at the data for the season and come to conclusions. Even people that don’t play the game. It does work that way

What? I’ve been hit by a slam that was just under 1mil. Slam hits hard

Not sure why we necrod a 10 day old thread, but let’s at least be accurate.

Frost mage is very good right now (both other specs are poo), but struggles in the meta because it has an extremely difficult time versus hunters, ferals, sp, warlock, and ele shaman - all of which are not very impacted by slows, are more durable, and do more damage than the mage and are all very meta specs.

That hasn’t been a bad matchup since, like shadowlands season 3? And even then rdruid splay was fine. Spriest can definitely feel bad to play, but you can still do your full damage rotation on 3 targets while being trained pretty easily. 90% of the time when I review a game for a SP into melee their mistake is trying to kite when they can’t and just standing in the wrong spot.

I’m fine with applying it once, and then having it refreshed by mortal strike or something. Or slam.

This is so insanely wrong I don’t even know where to start. Boomy, sp, lock, and ele were just bananas the entire expansion.

It was a top 3 caster spec with boomy and sp all season 3/4 and the best in the mirror, wdym?

Okay, no one actually died to these things beyond the 1200 and/or the first time they saw them. They also all got nerfed XD

Countered by a weakaura

Annoying, but really not nearly as strong as stuff like demonology warlock or boomy fast clones which you didnt even mention??

This is a myth. There has always been more melee representation above 2400 and in rank 1 range.
It’s crazy to me that people still say this.
What happens is that casters struggle with casting/positioning at LOW mmr where 99% of the game is doing a pve rotation. Melee press W and do a pve rotation (also not recognizing things like good trading or positioning) and win vs those casters. Then they run into casters that punish them for their lack of knowledge and say, “oh casters OP!”
It’s almost always a knowledge issue.

It varies season to season, but when even during super inflated seasons where glad is like 3% there are still 30 people not getting it for every person who does. And yeah, melee cleaves are usually overall more popular than casters/wizard cleaves, but that doesn’t mean casters or melee are stronger than one or the other.

Id argue its about the learning curve. In DF melee was significantly easier at lower rating allowing a smoother transition into higher ratings. So far this xpac ranged has been stronger in lower rating allowing for smoother transition into higher ratings. of course its a generalization as there are standouts but the overall feel between the two seems to fit this mold.

Yeah, that’s always true, though.

I really don’t think this is true, but it depends on what we’re defining as “lower” ratings.

Warrior is for sure struggling at higher ratings, but runs over casters below 1600 by just doing their pve rotation most of the time.

It’s pretty undeniable though that casters are currently tuned to be stronger than traditional melee dps at least IMO.
(So dk/ret/war/dh/ww)

It really doesnt.

If its free, why dont you have it?

If youre not playing, how would you know?

And lastly, why should we care since it seems you talk but dont walk that talk?

Even more lastly, why would rmt boosting be a thing and people PAY for it if its do “free”.

All to say, variance between seasons and specs exist, but its almost never free.
