Plenty of people don’t want to get used to it. This is a task nobody had to worry about before. Why should players have to struggle just to get the thing to default to the way it used to be? At the very least they should have defaulted the size/layout to the way it was.
Its a mess and I hate it. Even after spending over half an hour screwing around with it I still hate the look and feel of it.

Assuming blizz’s UI share thing works properly, just copy all of that and import it in the layout tab of edit mode. Its very sloppy and not done for any bars I have hidden though. I just threw it together real fast so I could do my daily stuff.

Every “improvement” ESPECIALLY in the age of “technology” is another way to undermine self efficiency and full functionality, as well as the illusion of “convenience” that are generally propagated as their “pitch” to sell you on it.
Why would Blizz come up wit such a radical change to the game’s UI? was there even some type of surveying the fans? Or this is just the internal developers game, without any kind of regard to those that actually pay the subscriptions ?
if an addon can bring back the days of old… please post it.
Yes well, Neuron was the gold standard in UI mod, and because of this ameturish attempt Blizzard has inflicted on us, the dev of that mod has given up. “Good enough” is going to be the new bar, it looks like. And that’s awful.
No strong feelings about it, I’ll get used to it within a few weeks probably. When the UI changed in Shadowlands, that took me about a week as well.
Yeah, I keep hearing horror stories. I don’t plan on logging in for a while until, maybe, people can get things sorted out.
It’s basically the exact same UI just moved around a little bit. I don’t even notice after an hour.
EDIT: I admit I had to quick keybind move 3 keybinds over 3 spaces on the top action bar. Took me 5 minutes.
This was an update pushed down that I Have a feeling majority of players didn’t want. Yes, You may be fine with it and that’s ok, but you were fine with it before too, not really an impact for you, and even if you wanted a light change / update / modification you could have done it with maybe some addon; but I am sure there are some like me that actually did care about NOT GETTING this update a lot more than you didn’t care for it happening. I completely hate it and if I don’t get my option to get all my addons back this WILL be the end of the line for me - it has been a long 13 years !!!
It’s what happens when you have one person, or several people thinking they can do no wrong because encouraged by bootlickers apologists and $ych0p@nts telling them “oh my great lord, you can do no wrong.”
You see how criticism is treated here in the forums, one can only imagine the kind of… empty insincerity that’s expressed when it comes to praising any dev’s mistake. Not surprisingly, when you tell people everything they do is “wonderful” they see nothing wrong with what they do.
does anyone know if there is a way to remove the blizzard cast bar?
If you set cast bar to appear under your raid bar or whatever it’s called – the picture of your face with your health bar and resource bar – then it will no longer appear in the middle of the screen, IIRC.
yeah, it says lock to player frame or something like that… but i really dont want it there, either… i just want it to be gone lol

I have a cast bar that fits with the weak aura package that I use, I don’t need or want the blizzard cast bar

They’re not the same people. People who liked the standard ui never cared about the customizations you did.
I’m kind of okay with the new UI, even though I never used an addon. Why did I never use an addon? Because every patch people who used addons would be desperately seeking help to set up their addons again.
But the new micro icons are ridiculously hard to see.
How??? This is what I want! So stupid to not give us the option to have it the way it’s been for 18 frigging years!
Why in all things holy would they not give us a way to keep the same UI we’ve been playing with for 18 years???
