That is part of the problem all over WOW not just warmode but everything. Trying to “make people participate”.
In any MMO the best way to get people involved is to make it something they enjoy and want to do and not feel they are being made to do it.
It seems the main problem with warmode is not the concept because it was a very good idea to have all players who want world pvp to be able to flip a switch and be in a world all their own.
PVPers all over the world cried out for years for Blizz to bring back world PVP because people just did not do it anymore and here you have it if you flip the switch.
The problem is not Blizz it is us. We just stopped doing it. We stopped invading Org on alliance…I can’t remember the last time a group of allies on any of the alliance servers I play on invaded org or any horde city not even crossroads. I can’t even remember the last time horde invaded any alliance city. It seemed like it use to happen almost everyday. I might have to try and organize a group tonight.
The only thing I can think of that might help is to (I can’t believe I am going to say this) would be to “instance world PVP” with fairly equal numbers on both sides…but all that does is more or less create another battle ground but this one encompasses the entire world and has no rewards other than the quests because for many years it is what was cried out for.
What else can blizz do to give us good world pvp? They gave us the entire world and all we have to do is flip the switch. Blizz can’t make us turn on warmode only we can flip that switch.
There should be no rewards for world PVP not even the bonuses that are given now. It is not a blizz problem anymore it is an us problem and if everyone who cried out for years for more world PVP got out and flipped on that switch that just might solve the problem. Blizz might could help a little by the sharding and CRZ removing/tweaking them but without flipping that switch nothing will help.
