Will I be able to simply learn the epic mount tomorrow from a trainer?

The cost of the quest has come down but you still have to do the quest. Most servers have someone that will help you for a cost (will still end up saving you money).
Check the warlock classic discord you can probably get a group for it alot cheaper/free
i personally skip the warlock/pally mount on my chars because it’s annoying that it has a mana cost, sure it’s only 100 mana but it interupts your mana regen, when you’re mounting between pulls it puts a hinderance on your uptime to kill. Just my opinion, maybe you think it looks better than your race’s mount, my warlock was undead so i thought hte skeletal warhorse looked cooler anyway.
You get the riding skill with it anyway so you can ride whatever you want after but I see your point.
