Warlock End Cap

OK I know Soulkeeper was overpowered but it gave me hope that I might be FINALLY more competitive with rogues and other ridonkulously over powere classes, now you fracking nerf it so damn hard ALONG with nerfing Inquisitor’s Gaze that that end cap talent has effectively become a dead choice. Thanks for killing the possibility of a decent end cap for Warlocks Blizzard… Pull your heads out and learn to balance a class instead of massively overpowering then nerfing the crap out of talents so you kill any use they had or might have had.

and the bugs weren’t even fixed, but yeah keep buffing useless crap like HoS.

If I could be as bad at my job as these devs are and still have a job at the end of the day that would be cool.

I’m gonna have to see this. I knew it was going to be tuned but not to the way inquisitor gaze damage.

It’s pretty hilarious what they did to inquisitor gaze where it this was ugly summon thing by your side that did i think like 1% dps with no synergize to the spec tree to now where it does like a .% dps on proc on a spell.

Poor Soulkeeper, aren’t these suppose to be our last talent nodes in our class trees.

the redesign montage was only to nerf the eye! got it make the class even worse.

Yea. It does seem that way. Also the eye dot procs much worse now as well.

Honestly they should just put wilfreds in the class tree in place of both of those abilities and call it a day. Wilfreds makes every spec feel better overall imo.

Expecting the devs to come up with this is putting faith where it doesn’t belong. Since the implementation of these new talent trees it feels like the devs are getting worse at their jobs … and coming out of the last 2 expansions, that says a lot.

I’m not expecting anything but it’s the only ability that is found in each spec tree. One can hope.

Amazing how mages got 2 class capstones that are applicable and beneficial to all three specs and actually impact your performance and locks got three wet noodles you can completely ignore lol.

I wouldn’t say worse, but I think it has definitely shined a light on which devs do a better job/communicate more effectively than others(or at least create the player perception that they do).

To me the most disappointing thing is the lack of follow through - at least the other class changes were continued to worked on. We got 1 round of changes that were seemingly abandoned(just like what happened during alpha/beta hmmm…).

Sorry I really try not to add to the negative energy, but the continued lack of communication has been really disappointing

Plenty of people expressed their displeasure with the class tree and spec trees but i feel like the loudest voices overall didn’t complain much about the issues. This was actually confirmed by the devs when they said they were pleased with the feedback received on the first iteration. It’s kind of sad cause there still remains a lot of work to be done.

Demo specifically has multiple talents that are pretty much dead in pve (Stolen Power, Pact, Doom and KFC , hounds of war, bilsecourge bombers). In addition, nodes like inner demons and demonic calling provide little to no value for the 2nd point. I don’t think these issues are as rampant in aff and destro.

I am still overall happy playing the warlock, but i wish they would put a little more thought into the trees. Having multiple drain life nodes in the class tree alone is just such a waste of space.

IM SO UPSET jesus freaking christ are you for real blizzard? the only class in the game with out CAPSTONES we were calling for this seems BETA those 2 are GARBAGE and the other one that makes drain life drain faster WHO CARES BUT AFF AND THEY DONT EVEN TAKE IT MAN WHAT THE HELL, i felt so good when i saw soulkeeper dealing that much dmgs it was the chance to compete with retarded rogues but NAH lets nerf it to uselesness IN 1 DAY U GOT A WHOLE CYCLE OF PTR TO AJUST IT BUT U JUST DID IT IN 1 DAY AND WAS 90% NOT A 40% OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

lets be honest the ability was abusurd and broken BUT 90% NERF ARE U FOR REAL? if u want locks to play with out capstones just delete them no one is taking that freaking garbage right now it deals NO DMGS AT 10 STACKS gaze its GARBAGE FULL GARBAGE now i gotta wait what 3 weeks with those piece of garbage capstones to get what a 10% buff? while rogues still overperfome EVERYONE BY ALOT? go to hell blizzard

Which many of us predicted would be an issue for warlock as early as when the new talents system was announced. The specs have so little shared that the class tree would be incredibly challenging and would likely need to be nearly all survivability/utility

which would honestly make sense, wilfreds is a talent present in all three specs and you’d think they’d give it as a main tree talent.
but apparently they’re avoiding giving our main tree damage like it’s a plague

They’re working on a new capstone where you summon an imp and it goes out and brews you a coffee. I think, overall, that works out to the same damage as the new soul keeper.

They don’t have to share a similar playstyle to have things could be fit into the class tree and have at least some impact on each spec. Wilfred’s is the shining example of that. There are plenty of other concepts they could have come up with. Cast while moving talent, extra shard capacity, improved shadow bolt (DL and Incin), improved pets, multiple pets, etc.

Why are they making our capstones choices worse and worse? I had this hope that DF was going to be better in regards to player feedback and balance but this weird buff then stealth nerf by 90% makes me feel gutted and completely disappointed.
Warlocks needs a major ST buff OVERALL. We are playing a pure DPS class that has no spec that currently excels at ST. It makes no sense.

Oh I agree, but based on what we’ve seen for warlock design over the past 2 expansions, could we really expect any different(though we absolutely should and deserve better)?

This is an argument but then they toss us a crappy dps capstone that we have to take because it’s the only thing that does damage. I don’t think they are avoiding damage nodes, they just aren’t putting thought into what could benefit each spec. There is no consistency in talent tree design across all of the classes. Them saying they don’t want dps in the capstones and then loading classes like rogue or warrior down with DPS capstones is illogical.

It does so little damage that you can legit argue that putting the point into something else is better a majority of the time.

The hotfix nerf to soulkeeper was clearly a classic blizzard knee jerk reaction and they will probably either leave it the way it is or give it a small buff later.

I just want that entire node scrapped at this point. Clear they have no idea what to do.
