Warlock Customization: More Grimoires! And other stuff

Easy:

  • add glyphs for all the “old animations” for the spells
  • add a glyph (or more) that allows Call Dreadstalkers to be a different demon that attacks
  • add a glyph (or more) that allows Hand of Gul’dan to summon demons other than imps
  • add a glyph for each of our Fear/Horror spells so the add stays still
  • etc

The Warlock Stables idea would only be for main pet and possibly for the main cooldown in each spec.

Warlocks got Green Fire in 5.2! Doesn’t have to be at launch.

Bruh forreal. We were told more substantial changes were coming 2 blue posts ago :frowning:

There are some beautiful models from legion. It is shame we can’t use them. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think there is a single demon in the entire BFA expansion? I have searched in vain in every zone. They may as well have removed enslave demon. Even in the Arathi Battlegrounds they no longer have those Doomguards/Pit Fiends that you could use.
I guess after Legion, the demonic realm went out on strike.

Re: BFA, yes there is a world quest with a really cool model in Zandalar!

But all of BFA we’ve been fighting Aberrations (same umbrella family as Voidwalker), ie all the varied “Void” beings.

Re: Shadowlands

Asmongold got an NPC in the form of a Pitlord that spawns in the open world Theater of Pain (the colosseum in the middle of Maldraxxus), and we can target the Demon that the Maldraxxus Demon Hunter ability summons, so in theory those could be enslaved :stuck_out_tongue:

However there are quite a few Aberration models. Some Void-beings in Bastion, some Drust-beings in Ardenweald, and “Devourers” in each zone.

Warlocks use both Demons and Aberrations!

There’s still a chance we could get something, man.

Everytime I see a post and pic of a friggen awesome demon my heart sinks a little and I just say to myself, “Wish I could have that”. :sob:

I know this feel, bro :sob:

I don’t believe in stables right now for SL, but I bet on return of Infernal and Doomguard at least xD

This would be so cool!

Increasingly worried at the lack of Demonology tuning buffs, the fact it’s apparent they intentionally unpruned Corruption knowing it won’t be cast or interact with Demo/Destro, and the fact Ritual of Doom will be used exclusively for griefing low level players and they’re okay with it lmao

*Adele voice * WE COULD’VE HAD IT ALLLLLLLLLLLLL, TAMING AS LOCK DEEEEEEEEEPS

Spare tuning sir, any tuning :frowning:

I mean we could still get some talent changes like other classes are still getting. It’s late but not the end, yet

Gonna throw my support behind this. I didn’t play my warlock much before BfA, but she’s grown to be one of my favorite characters and having more options for her demons would be a godsend.

Yeah Inner Demons should just be baseline tbh, move Doom to that row or axe it, switch Soul Conduit and Sacrificed Souls (Soul Conduit is last row for the other specs), add a talent where you have two demons at all times, to that row, and on the second row add a talent that would let your Demon attacks have a chance to generate a soul shard, so it would be, using Shadowlands levels:

Level 25 Row:

  • Demonic Calling - Shadowbolt/Demonbolt have a 20% chance to make Dreadstalkers cost 2 less SS and have no cast time
  • Power Siphone - 2 imps for 2 core charges
  • Soul Grind - Demon’s attacks have a X% chance to generate a soul shard

Level 45 Row:

  • Sacrificed Soul - SB/DB have 4%+ damage per demon out
  • Grimoire: Felguard - 25% more powerful Felguard for 17 seconds that Axe Tosses when cast
  • Jubeka’s Journal - You can now have 2 demons out permanently (tuning would be roughly the same DPS increase as GFelguard damage)

Level 50 Row:

  • Soul Conduit - like it is for the other two specs lmao
  • Demonic Consumption - current beta/PTR version slaps
  • Nether Portal - changed to 1 demon per soul shard SPENT rather than shard spender ability USED

Gonna post this in the compilation feedback thread to see how folks feel

Thank you :'D

Yeah it’d be a good method to allow for character expression

I disagree respectfully. Sacrificed souls should either be scrapped or made baseline because it is so incredibly underpowered. Make a talent for a second permanent demon in its place so that it can’t interact with demonic consumption.

I agree inner demons needs to be made baseline as well so that our throughput is more consistent and it fits the fantasy.

Nether portal should be scrapped to give us a talent that allows permanent control over a selection of greater demons: pit lord, dread lord, fel lord.

Yeah, dislike Sacrificed Souls, shadowbolt is the most uninteresting skill for demon. I’d trade it for a Grimoire of Supremacy or a second pet. Hope they fix Nether portal or put a better skill in its place before launch.

And I’d love a baseline Inner demons!

Demons already have a stable. It’s called the twisting nether.

Oh I agreed I hate it to, but it’s one of those things that Blizzard insists on leaving in because they insist it’s brilliant design lol

I like Nether Portal! It’d be great if we could just do 1 demon per shard spent! And also if the demon damage was standardized.

“Master Demonologist” amirite

And we happen to now have control of a world in the Twisting Nether, Dreadscar Rift  amazing!

I love nether portal too, but if they insist on leaving it as is… just scrap it because it’s useless as it is now

All I’m gonna say is tomorrow, tomorrow is the day Warlocks shine in Beta!, I’m feeling stables is coming!!.

Also I’d love a talent to have 2 Felguards out baseline… I want to have one on either side of me all the time!

Why should BM hunters have all the fun…would help with Demo dps too…
