Warlock Control

Can we expect warlocks control to be toned down or dark pact to be nerfed anytime soon? Either that or just buff warrior so they can’t play the game. Thanks.

The new demo pvp talent with the mini stuns should fs go. Having that + axe + coil + howl/fury + spammable fear is gross to play with or against.

I mained affy/demo past 2 seasons and agree it’s gross, and it is super boring gameplay for the demo too bc you’re just a disruption bot that enables your partner to get kills bc demo damage on prepatch is pathedic.

It’s balanced because demo lost shadow fury and second pet stun.

It isn’t balanced at all lol. Lock gained mobility, is absurdly tanky and has better CC than before because it now has access to more instant CC than it did.

Lock having double gate, port on top of howl+coil+spammable fear in general is too much for being as tanky as it is, demo just makes it even crazier.

What instant CC did it get?

It got access to both Howl of Terror and Mortal coil whereas prior it could only pick one of those.

Demo has a PVP talent “call fel lord” that stuns people for 1 sec, they have felguard axe toss, plus they have death coil, howl of terror, and fear-but they have to choose between howl of terror and shadowfury, where before it was a choice between howl of terror and death coil-so mostly this is a lot of crying about not much of a change.

“not much of a change” yeah youre right going from 1 interruptible non instant cc and 1 instant cc to 2 instant non interruptible ccs is not that big of a deal guys! especially when we gained more mobility and are absurdly tanky and have a spammable cc already, dont sweat it guys no problem

Yeah did a shuffle earlier and lock just sat there as 2 melee were tagging him and he wasn’t dying, also just porting every where, why did they need 2 gates?

They didnt. They didnt even need it in pve either I have no idea what the lock dev was smoking. Just randomly adding more mobility to the game when a largescale prune is happening (which includes pruning mobility from some classes) is wild. Locks already had good mobility in pve with burning rush and port+gate. They certainly did not need the ability to take gate twice in a row with no cd.

In PvP its awful though because lock was and is designed to be relatively tanky with the ability to peel really well via coil and spammable fear. Good locks were hard to catch since they utilized coil+gate+port and fears really well, this just makes it very annoying to vs them and gave them something they didnt need. And again, pve didnt need it either.

It was the one dev that tried to playtest pvp on his warlock and hit an all melee lobby in ss

I’m sure lock will get tuned, but yeah lock is basically the only class that got more in midnight than it lost.

Like, I guess it lost health funnel, bur it’s now tied automatically to drain life so it’s not even really gone?

Also dev evoker with double deep breath stun. That is honestly the most annoying thing they added imo.

I still haven’t seen a demo lock die this patch
