The weapons are classified as swords in the game.
I don’t know what weird gymnastics you’re trying to pull here, they are swords. Glaives did not exist as a classification when the item was created.
Stop, lol.

Yes silly panda, look at what Blizz said and what I originally wrote. I said that it’s their rules. They are throwing DH’s a bone. But keep complaining, I’m sure they are known to act fast to these complaints
It’s almost like that’s the point of the thread or something, ya dingus.
Thanks Genius, like I didn’t know that.
I mean, if we’re letting Rouges and Warriors equip them why not Mages and Warlocks too? Don’t be classist!
i mean if you go through the trouble of farming them both AND clearing black temple during timewalking, they should be available to every class that can use them
Why do you capitalize the “and” in your statement like it’s somehow hard? TW Black Temple has been a joke since it was released if your group had more than six braincells to split amongst the raid.
Just let Rogues equip warglaives and mog them. It’s really the only fair thing to do since Rogues were rolling with those long long before DHs were even a thing.
Demon Hunters stealing things from other classes that preceded their creation? Color me absolutely shocked. . . lmfao.
And here I thought rogues were the thieves of this game.
Okay sure.
Good luck being able to equip the offhand one though.
because of the incredibly few opportunities you’ll have to actually do it?
Lmao, it comes up often, like what is it, once every 4 months?
I don’t need the offhand. I think it looks great with some flowers or a carp.
They should make Death Knights able to transmog and loot an actual Death Knight only Frostmoune as it is the original hero class.
It doesn’t matter one bit that canonically they are warglaives. Blizzard put them in the game as swords, meaning they intended from the start for non-DH classes to be able to earn them. If Blizzard didn’t want non-DH classes to have glaives, they shouldn’t have put them on Illidan’s loot table in the first place.
If a class can equip the glaives, and the player has gone through the effort to farm them, they should be able to mog them. End of story.
I got the warglaives on my rogue during BC so I support other classes being able to transmog them!
This is a bad idea.
You’re basically saying that people who got them back in the day shouldn’t be able to use them anymore?
That is literally the opposite of what I’m saying lol. I’m advocating for them to be useable by all the classes that could equip them and not just DHs.
It’s weird. Because the warglaives are from bc, every time I see them, or see someone link them, I immediately think of a rogue
I don’t associate them with demon hunters at all. I’ve always just considered them that set of “broken OP rogue weapons from BC”
I do think it’s was pretty dumb to restrict them to demon hunters. Blizzard says it would “invalidate them” all while forgetting about the people that have had the warglaives in their banks for 10+ years, waiting to be able to mog them
I’d be fine if they kept the unlock achievement as is, i think its an interesting idea to work with. But, like a lot of people in this thread, I think its kind of ridiculous that its not available for all classes that can equip the ones dropped by normal BT. On a side note, got my first drop of the warglaives today, just need to get the off-hand to get the feat and then a demon hunter to get the unlock next time bc timewalking comes around. Was gonna post a picture of my warrior, but i dont browse the forums enough to do that.
