The difference is, Mages never had access to green fire or the spells it affects.
The classes that originally could loot and wield the Warglaives of Azzinoth are being disbarred with illogical reasoning.
To top it off the achievement for unlocking it is not exclusive to Demon Hunters, any class even the non-eligible wielders of the Warglaives can earn this achievement.
“I don’t like the way it looks on others” isn’t a good reason, it’s personal bias, it’s an excuse.
The wings are from the buff, so you need to actually have them equipped. Much like how the firecat staff from Firelands doesn’t give you firecat if you are transmogged to it.
Daggers are only usable by two specs. One of which is okayish single target in a raid but literal garbage tier for m+ ever since they gutted the glue holding that spec together in m+. Assassination is playable for raiding but if you’re into m+ on any serious level you’ll default to combat.
So if you play Combat you are SOL because Blizzard feels it necessary to make this spec only function if you use axe/sword/fist/mace mainhand.
Were you one of those people who spammed whiny threads complaining that they wanted the water strider removed from the game because they were tired of seeing people using it and too lazy to farm it up themselves?
Allowing the other classes to transmog the glaives doesn’t take anything away from those of us that already got them. It’s not like we had to farm the originals exclusively on the DH or even do the Timewalking BT on the DH. If that were the case, maybe you’d have a stronger point, but no.
I got the glaives on my DK and did the Timewalking on my hunter. Very involved my DH was!
Side note: Allowing more people to transmog would probably greatly improve BT timewalking for everyone. No more groups of 10 DH that all don’t know what they were supposed to do, take half the raid to figure it out, and leave.
Yes because making weapons that are “literally swords” in the game, and not allowing classes that can “literally” use them, not be able to transmog them makes sense.
I know what the term literally means.
And their reason “literally” make 0 sense considering the other vendor mounts that are “literally” still in the game.
thats because warglaives/DHs and transmog werent a thing yet
black temple has been on baby farm for over a decade. it took no effort to farm it. if you were one of the 1% during TBC to legit earn them grats, you were the envy of everyone on your server. but now if you want to mog warglaives DHs are waiting for you
Not true. In order to get the achievement that you HAVE to have in order to unlock the appearance via Black Temple Timewalking, you have to be a class who is able to equip the Glaives. Equipping it is the only way to actually get the achiev. Just obtaining them isn’t good enough. Unless they stealth-nerfed that. So saying that non-eligible wielders could earn it, is false.
How can Blizzard legitimately sit here and say “we don’t want to diminish the value of this unique reward” that every demon hunter and their mother are running around with? Maybe unlocking the glaives for everyone would be a good idea so that we can see demon hunters wear something else for a change.
I don’t understand how they think it’s such a unique reward. We didn’t even have to do any of the steps on our demon hunter. The only requirement was to have one and you could do the rest on another toon/toons.
The hardest part is just getting both warglaives to drop. The BT timewalking raid is a pushover as long as the 10 DH’s that signed up don’t all leave at the end when they realize they needed the glaives first.
The most useless weapon ever. Anyone noticed there isn’t a real world equivalent. That’s because the way they are held would break your wrists. Sure theres no real world equivalent to wands either but they are not for fighting just casting spells. Glaives are dumb!
