If we can gain gear this easily in warfronts I think it would be acceptable to add a pvp vendor.
I just don’t see why not with the expansion being in the current state it is in.
Just my opinion… grind out PVP takes time for gear… yet I got 385 piece for doing like nothing…

Warfront is a gear catchup mechanism. It’s gear will be obsolete, just like how the Arathi gear is pretty much obsolete. If added, PVP vendors would have to be updated each season to always be relevant. Basically when this “catchup phase” ends a PVP vendor would have to offer ilevel 400 gear, the gear from Darkshore would be poopy then.
I want a gear vendor. My weekly conquest rewards for PVP are already giving me copies of gear I already have. No rings, no trinkets. JUST CRAP! I want the dang PVP vendor back so I can fill the slots I need to fill.
385+ would not be poopy even after the next season starts. got 385 shoulders and 395 trinket from darkshore boss. will probably be using them for awhile.
if you’re talking about the 340 gear, that was obsolete the week after the warfronts were given to us . even 355 from conquest is obsolete. world quests are giving more than conquest.
I would love to have vendors make a return to the game. The gearing isnt horrible now, just a little strange. It is possible to gear out a fresh 120 fairly quickly. This guy is only like 2 days old at 120 and I’m making decent progress.
You mean they would have to update the pvp vendors every season like they used to do? Yeah…um, I guess maybe they don’t want to deal with having to work that hard…

This isn’t like they used to do though. There are all different ilvls of gear depending on content you do.

You used to have to reach certain ratings before you got that nice gear. We’re kind of lucky we get 370 gear now through just capping in randoms.
We were not talking about the rating you needed to get gear, we were speaking of them having to upgrade vendors.

Are you disagreeing this isn’t like the wod days? Every tier of rating you earn higher ilvl gear than the 355 then 370 vendor type gear. If they were to add vendors, they would need multiple for each rated tier.
We were not even talking about rating, or what level of gear you could get with higher rating. We were just talking about the fact that they used to upgrade the vendors with the new season, with higher level gear.
At this point it just seems like you are disagreeing just to disagree. Funny part is, you are disagreeing with something I wasn’t even talking about lol.
And who cares if they have to tend a couple of more vendors every season? It isn’t like it would be something they had to do daily, weekly or even monthly.
Yea I know. Was easy when everyone got the same gear is my point. Now that there are all different ilvl tiers they would need to update 5/6/7 (however many tiers) of vendors.
It wouldn’t matter if we all had the same level, Ion would still think he needed to hold our hand and tell us which piece we needed next.
Yep. I mean when I have 380 boots I need to make sure the quest chooses 370 boots for me so I don’t accidentally buy an upgrade.
Sure, if that’s how you feel. I’ll still progress through BGs like I’ve always done, not that ilvl really matters anyway.
That is all that matters to you, and that is fine and good. I am certainly not telling you that you have to dislike the current system. I just have a really hard time understanding, that in a game where we have so many avenues to gear, why pvp is the only one with a hard and fast line we need to tow, locking you into a certain piece, regardless of whether or not you need it. It is a lazy system stuck in place simply to pretend they were paying attention to the people who were unhappy with Legion pvp gearing.
