Not impossible to do, but I don’t think Blizzard wants to put in the work to make the UI fit on a console with a controller. I suppose they could just tell people to hook up a mouse and keyboard to the Xbox, but that kind of defeats the purpose of putting it on a console.
I could see them make a new tier of the GamePass that includes a WoW subscription, though. Right now, for $20/mo you get GamePass for Xbox, PC, and Android with additional benefits for EA and Riot titles. Maybe they could make a $25/mo or $30/mo tier that includes a WoW sub.

I don’t follow this streamer but he’s pretty much summing up the pros/cons whether it’s coming soon.
I doubt the game will go to XBox. It would be neat! But addons are a thing.
The console crowd would be at a HUGE disadvantage without the same addon support. They would have to ban addons or have a mods.io type thing and imagine the backlash if they did that.
I will admit no add-ons would make for WAY less toxic players.

No way to compare their performance vs another player means they just have fun and play.
Xbox lost the console wars.
PS5 is the champ and Xbox is basically a game studio now.

You are correct. The first game was on a computer…all the way during WW2.
Colossus and EINIAC were used to help the war effort.
GP Ultimate cost more than what we pay for WoW, so if they wanted to add it and make more money from people like me, it’s a win-win.
They receive about $3 more each month from my sub, and I gain access to the full library of GP games I want to play.

As a person who has played both ESO and FF14. Usually they aren’t very welcome in ff14 groups, and eso has console players split in to their own servers anyways.
Whatever you may think on console players or whether WoW is coming to Xbox. Or myself for that manner.
Microsoft made it easy to plug and play a keyboard and mouse into an Xbox. You can download addons into games and a perfect example of this is both Skyrim and Fallout 4. If you have not played on an Xbox nor own one then it’s backwards to say anything bad about it.
Exactly. What I want is to play with an xbox controller, not mouse and keyboard set up. It’s nice players have that option, but I want the controller functions.
You can literally do this right now.
No matter how many people in the next 500 posts in this thread tells you that you can’t or it isn’t possible or it’s too many buttons. It’s not, and you can.
I don’t feel like rehashing these arguments again so I am going to just pop in, eye roll the entire thread and leave.
