Warcraft logs Update

Ive never seen or heard of a BFD going south literally every lockout. This is straight up propaganda. Theres a difference between going into a boss and doing some strange strat to parse like akumi dynamite and doing bosses as intended/doing your job and still parsing fine (70+)

My schedule is all over the place so I mostly pug. I have no problem with a few crap players in each group as the content is tuned for that

I usually recommend we kill 1-2 elementals on kelris in these pugs to ensure we succeed as well

Teaching others ain’t that hard if you’re willing

Nice. We will see how long this one holds out for

i exclusively pug too. Your “excuse” is bizzare, theres nothing a warrior can do to negatively influence their parse in leu of “saving” a boss

Whatever you say champ

Honestly just get Talwar and press Devastate.

exactly
parsing decent is literally just playing your spec correctly. And if you didnt read it already my saying “decent parse” is a lowwww bar at 70%

They should just feed all their data into chatgpt and it’ll spit back a puggable “yes” or “no”.

I just feel bad for those that just don’t have the gear, do everything right, and parse green - grey if they’re part of a terrible guild.

Naw the big fish in dad guilds still parse high blue. I always raid with one each xpac for the variety.

i always thought the number they showed in the vanilla logs front page should have been the ilevel parse. But it’s not i don’t think. Or maybe they should include both.

Ilvl parse is neglected hard and is my most important metric. Really easy to see what greys are trying to move up and what oranges are resting on gear.

I do enjoy the people who make comments who clearly have zero understanding of what they are talking about

“Bring a bunch of grey parsers and see if you can clear content” okay, I bring physics dps and those greys are doing about the same or more than purple casters. Still would clear the raid no issue.

Like go for the big number parses, you do you fam, but at least know what you are talking about

How does one even parse in the 1-15 percentile? Are they just auto attacking? I understand some people are upset about people using WCL to filter people they’d like to raid with or not, and that’s valid, but I don’t understand how people are doing 30-50 DPS. This seems less likely that they aren’t able to learn how to do more DPS, but that they aren’t trying to do more DPS. I mean, come on, most blue/purple rotations involve 3-4 skills, and at max 5? There’s no real learning curve here.

It’s also valid that people want to play with others who put in some semblance of effort when it comes to PUGing. If you are looking for a super casual setting where you can practice or learn, than maybe a guild would better suit your needs than a PUG?

My conclusion, let people play the way they want, and play with people you’d enjoy playing with. If you don’t wanna play with sweatiest? Don’t. If you don’t wanna play with hyper casuals? Don’t. Not every space needs to accommodate every single person.

Said the person, as they took time outside of the game to visit the forums and comment. If anything, looking at parses takes less effort.

I’m not big into parsing, but it helps me understand where I can improve so I’m not some 900 lb. tumor that others need to carry.

sounds like a crappy guild

join us

  1. You’re right
  2. You gray parse 110%

True, but when certain fights require your entire group to do certain things to maximize your output + speed of kill, parsing just becomes fodder.
On Tindral if everyone spreads too far there goes your padding for parse.
On Fyrakk if the adds arent stacked ASAP and too far away there goes your pad.
Etc etc.

You’re so on the money it amazes me that people are even trash talking you lol.

Depends, boss damage is always a metric you can filter for and even if you’re not going to get a rank 99 or better doing the fight suboptimally you’re still gonna be able to get a 90-95 at least. At the end of the day parses mean nothing without context and you as a player can apply context to your own data to judge and analyze it for the sake of improvement.

I don’t want to downplay the nuance / lack thereof in the minds of people inviting players purely for parses, but there can be more to the game than “Boss died good job everyone”.

Daily reminder you’re too stupid to read the instructions
