It’s over bro’s. They are not carrying SoD into TBC. And the release of Fresh realms shows there’s a 0% chance of a classic + in the next 3-5 years.
If they were going the Classic + Route, they would have announced continued Support for SoD into TBC, player numbers would have surged (The biggest thing keeping people away from SoD is fact it’s about to be shutdown)
Instead they hammered in the fact that SoD is dead after the new raids, and are cannibalizing the player base into fresh servers. Was fun guys, guess Turtle WoW is the call.
why would they announce TBC SoD for classic+ that literally doesnt make sense as 1) classic is the 1-60 content 2) SoD is an amalgamation of several expansions the rune system doesnt make sense in TBC as we already have access to most of the TBC related abilities and 3) its a seasonal server. 2026 we either get classic+ or another seasonal variation.
blizzard for once had a good idea and decided to kill it so they can keep people replaying the same classic servers over and over. and everyone is too stupid to see that they are being milked for money.
Because the #1 thing keeping people from Playing SoD is that they are about to shut the damn servers down, nobody wants to invest hundreds of hours into a game that has no future planned support.
Yah, and then the servers shut down. Very few people will play it man. AQ and Fresh launching the same day, SoD will be raid log sim for people who want to see the new stuff, then its dead.
People just want Classic WoW with continued development and non garbage classes man. It was the entire appeal of SoD.
Nobody wants to play the same “Every class but Warrior, Rogue, Mage, And Priest sucks” Broken balance of Classic again. They want the same philosophy and design, with functional classes and some new content.
Bro, SoD is done. No continued support, they won’t even tell us what they are going to do with the servers. AQ comes out same day as fresh. We gonna have 5k people raiding the “New raids” they took a year to cobble together.
Just make a heal/buff bot like Pally, Shaman, Priest, Druid. It will be super easy to get into raids since 80% of the servers are going to be warriors and rogues.
That’s not fun man. Whats nice about SoD is every class can do well and play the game. While different classes and specs still bring important utility. It has better class design all around then classic does.
Lol I completely agree with you that classic has garbage class design, I was being sarcastic.
SOD definitely had the right idea but the execution was a bit mixed. Hopefully at some point there will be a more refined version of SOD known as Classic+ but thats gonna be a ways off now.

you think if it was so good people wouldn’t care about a fresh version of the game that they clearly don’t like. but all i see is complaining that blizzard are giving era players what they want.
sod is a mess. balance is all over the place, the new content sucks and it just feels like retail minus rather than classic plus. by all means, keep playing it, but the people have spoken. your funservers that are already empty will be dead in a week
