because backing up data costs precious money.
Mine is gold capped, but like any other risk asset, don’t put all your scratch in one place. I keep a couple accounts mostly full as well.
Part of the problem but look at D4’s bag inventory issue where you had to process the inventory of everyone in the area. That seems pretty lazy or incompetent.
Nah. i keep gold on my bank alts characters and only like 200k in my warband bank
i am not trusting them after that guild bank fiasco. They will not restore anything
The same records that they couldn’t consult to return everything that disappeared from many of our guild banks.
The GMs themselves have told us that the screenshots did not serve as proof. Don’t take up space on your PC.
My advice: distribute 50% of the gold you have among alts, the other 50% buy tokens and credit them in the store. Things are there today and tomorrow they are not, accept it and continue playing.
That’s pretty much where I’m at, yeah, but I toss things in my guild bank and warbank as needed because it has nowhere else to go.
I’m so close to vendoring every single thing. The loss of stuff in my bank made me not care anymore about a lot of things in WoW.
The not caring part is really not a bad thing, tbh. lol
Perfectly safe! It’s not like they would wipe out your bank and not replace it or support you in any way.
PS: don’t worry, the screenshots, logs, and all other proof we had that the items disappeared did not sway them to replace any of it. They did take responsibility for the error, so it’s all good, right?
Who’s jaded, me?
I think what irritated me the most was them being like “We’ll replace some stuff, don’t worry” only to send people like, 10 pieces of leather or something and then called it good. I would have been far less miffed if they had simply stated “Sorry, it’s all gone”.
The warbank is a great way to transfer items/$$ to places you cannot mail. It all has to do with how lucky you feel. There are many accounts of transferring currencies/depositing $$ where it goes missing. Just don’t crash/load/accept group/zone in/etc during the process and you should* be okay most of the time.
No issues so far keeping some in my Warbank. I clear my alts out daily aside from 5k gold, trying to keep track of how much my gold is accumulating after buying the Bruto. I move it over to a single character weekly. I use gold to buy game time so chunks need to be kept on a single realm for that reason.
I had a panic attack the other day because when I logged in after having to alt f4 out on a frozen screen my warbank went poof. As in no tabs/items/gold were showing on ANY character I had. I have millions of gold and other items hoarded in there so I was about to freak out. However, once I was able to log back into the toon that had an issue everything was back showing normal.
I don’t know why that character having a problem created an issue for every other toon on my account but it was kind of an eye opening experience for me. I do a lot of AH searching for cheap tmogs and stuff so having that gold in the warbank is super convenient. I don’t think I will move it because ultimately I’m lazy and I didn’t have an issue but those 15 min of freak out time did make me think a bit on it.
Same here. I almost didn’t participate in the anniversary celebrations (when I loved achieves), I stopped going to raid, I practically don’t do M+ anymore. I have payment until March. They broke my immersion.
At least I didn’t receive even 1 item. Ni 1 Blindweed Stem. I had and have millions of gold. It was not a question of the value of what disappeared. It just disappeared and they acted like “nothing has happened here.” They didn’t write an email, nothing. The victim does not exist.
I used to say “Azeroth is my place in the world” well, no more. They broke my little world. A tsunami of reality washed over it.
hmm, ok
