lol…are we even playing the same game?
While we wait for Warbanks can we change all the profession recipes on old pre-DF reputation vendors to be Warbound?
That would at least keep me occupied flying around for like
a few hours haha :^)
well, they have it implemented in the beta, so they know how to do it. they just have to remember how to recreate it in live. so it is possible because they’ve already done it.
Absolutely! I would much rather wait for a finished product instead of doing their bug testing for them.
This is so embarrassing for blizzard, i feel sorry for them.
i dont. they’ve dug their own hole. they would rather save money than provide good customer experience. been this way since bfa.
Nobuaki Komoto was the original lead designer of the original version of the game, he stepped down along with his co-producer and Yoshi P stepped in and started development on A Realm Reborn. Yoshi P wasn’t even involved in the original project…
The problem is they give out beta to almost every streamer imaginable for advertisement. They really need to be giving it out to people who they know will actually bug test. Pre patch being the bug test is messed up.
Nothing? please
It wouldn’t matter because they don’t actually care or listen to player feedback. The beta was just a cash grab.
This is all great. But where is the compensation for your mistakes? I haven’t played for 2 years and decided to pay for a subscription, but what did I get? The game has been unplayable for 2 days now, at first there was technical work all day, and now the game constantly crashes, and the new mechanics work every other day. WHERE IS THE COMPENSATION??? All games in 2024 have a hard time keeping an audience, but Blizzard is above that, they don’t care, they’re so cool. And after that you know why this game is going downhill
Yuh kinda concerned about the early access now hopefully doesn’t end up being a repeat of Kill the Justice Leagues early access
Ah, I did not know that. I remember seeing him talk about how badly let-down the players were (with the original) when they introduced the remake & Beta so I assumed he’d been at the helm all along. He and his team did a fabulous job with the remake though, as I said I do enjoy it on occasion.
It’s okay, boss. Those in the beta knew this was going to happen. We also know that the expansion is coming in quarter 3 due to the corporate overlords no matter what. Do what you can to make it playable.
He took the company’s failure on as his responsibility and was apologizing on the company’s behalf. He was basically going hardcore Super Japanese Salaryman, Total Company Loyalty.
And I agree, it’s a good game. Both FF14 and WoW have their strengths.
Yes, yes they do and Yoshi P has made it well-known that he plays WoW himself and encourages his employees to play other games as well. His feeling on that is, it helps all of them to create a better experience in their own games. Other gaming companies should follow his lead on that. And you know what? As others have mentioned, I’d be A-OK with Blizzard taking WoW offline for an entire day or two if they felt it necessary, just so patches would be more stable and less buggy. It would definitely make for a healthier work environment for their devs…
The entire beta I was like
“…”
“Guys, this is hella busted.”
And everyone kept defending it and being like, “Don’t worry it’s beta, they’ll fix it in the two months before launch.”
“It’s just beta man, chill out.”
And now we get Beta Theme’d Launch.
If you don’t do the research, how will you remain competitive? WoW does do this, or at least they have always taken ideas from other MMOs. Most recently was the flying from GW2 that was rebranded as dragonriding. But they also more or less stole Warhammer’s quest log and tracking/map system after Warhammer flopped. Pretty sure they p’yoinked things from Age of Conan too.
And of course the sudden addition of optional lore quest dialogue and chances to sit with the characters and listen to them chat is definitely a cue from FF14s pages. Having a definitive cast drive the narrative and getting to know them. (Something WoW usually reserved for tie in novels or Youtube cinematics.)
LOL I was not referring specifically to Blizzard, I actually meant other gaming companies. I’m aware that Blizzard has taken ideas from other games and even moreso since Windstalker joined the team. But there are plenty of other companies with the, “This worked for us then & we don’t need to change” attitude (as well as companies who will get really angry if they find out their employees play games made by competitors) and they shoot themselves in their collective foot by such nonsense.
Basically what I’m going to do each day is see if there’s a maintenance, log in after said maintenance, see if I can use the warbank, and if not, I’m logging out.
I hate the loss of mount-specific flight speeds, I hate the skyriding animations of my favorite mounts, at least I was going to be compensated with the convenience of the warbank, but here we are.
It would be nice to have an update. I think we all deserve one Blizzard?
