Make set pieces from Molten Core, Tomb of Sargeras warbound just like the tier tokens. Easy fix. Until then warbands are incomplete and a disappointment compared to what was promised. There’s literally no reason not to. How in the world would being able to mail Arcanist leggings from a warrior to a mage after an MC run hurt the game in any way?

Tokens are war bound.

Class items are not

Why not? Reasons. :dracthyr_shrug:

Yep, pretty half baked as many of the features of TWW are. Set our expectations high, sell expansion upgrades, then demonstrate just how little of the implied promises will actually be delivered.

Reputations are just as bad.

Very disappointed so far in the lack of delivery of promised (or STRONGLY implied) features.

Stop. Making. Excuses. For. Blizzard.

This is provably wrong. For months people in Beta complained about this. Blizzard addressed it saying it was intentional with some hand-waving about “class fantasy”. That doesn’t make sense when you consider they also made armor tokens Warbound. Well is it a class fantasy or isn’t it? How are direct drops that different to tokens?

You might say “well you have to have that class to use the tokens”. So what? You also have to have that class to use the mog. So what does it matter?

It’s such a weird hill for Blizzard to die on but that’s what they’ve chosen. Not only is it arbitrary but we will see a thousand threads like this where people didn’t realize.

If something isn’t expected behaviour and requires explanation (especially without logical justification) then it’s the wrong decision.

Keep complaining because that’s the only thing that’ll force Blizzard to reverse course.

There is absolutely room to be harsh as they have in the past said when it is a technical limitation and when it is not. So clearly it’s not an issue to say it. They did so with Reps being retroactive, they said it would take time because of spaghetti code. OR with Skyriding for the 1000 mounts where technical limitations didn’t allow them to do them all & many many more instances.

This time, as of 2 days ago even in the MrGM interview he asked that EXACT question about whether it’s limitations or not, and they answered with ‘‘Tier pieces are special items that classes should get on their own.’’ aka ‘‘class fantasy’’. So once again, if it’s technical limitations as you are implying then they are lying, therefore I will be harsh because they are dishonest.

And if it actually is a class fantasy argument, then what’s different in the 90% of other tier sets obtainable from Tokens ? Are those magically less special ?

There is 0 consistency.

If they don’t like harsh feedback, then don’t lie in the event you suggest for 1, don’t lead people on with announcement with an ‘*’ in them every damn time for 2, and listen to constructive feedback given on this exact issue months ago.

But it is consistent. You still need that class to learn the appearance, whether it’s from a gear piece or a token.

The issue is probably the coding embedded for the restrictions on the class.

And it was probably easier right now to make token Warbound than items. They aren’t finished with Warbands. We’ll continue to see updates to the system.

There’s nothing “disgusting” here except that attitude.

Give it time. Geebus.

Soulbound recipes from old content like raids are also still soulbound, instead of warband-bound. I dont get it.

Its so frustrating this half baked things.

Didn’t they say we could farm old content and get class tier for other classes?

Not quite, they noted our passionate response and seemingly kneeled to feedback about it.

The way they worded it suggests they were going to.

I think you have it backwards. If you get the actual gear piece, you learn it, regardless of armor type. If it is a gear token, you have to mail it to an appropriate character to ‘pop’ the token first.

Well this is a crock of sht …We get quests to unlock the warbands and yet you disable it cause of problems. Maintenance ended at 9pm PST and no updates, no patches to fix the broken sht you broke. Besides all Raids being Awakened and the sh*tty Sky Riding crap … its worthless to even play. Nothing new do to till what July 30th, when you screw us over with a bunch of bugs and problems during the Radiant Events. If you are going to do something, Why not do it right the first time.

What is meant by tokens? Are these the drops that are converted into a set piece when you click them? Aren’t there many legacy raids that don’t use that mechanic?

the warbank has to actually be available first to try it.

Every day, I wonder more and more why I bother posting.

They gave you tons of new transmog and all you can do is complain about the transmog you still don’t have.

not complaining about the transmog. complaining about the ability to not learn it on one character like they said you could.

Yup. I submitted early beta feedback in-game for specific recipes that were showing this, as well as made a Beta forum post.

Glad to see it was ignored as usual.

I’m gonna be the bad guy…

I actually like it that way. I’m somebody who loves to farm/collect…but having it this way makes it feel more meaningful when you collect things for your specific class. I love that I can get odd things for my mage now while farming on my paladin, but if I want the “fancy stuff” then I have to farm on my mage. That seems fair.

There is absolutely nothing meaningful about continuously looting the wrong tier pieces because of bad RNG.
