From an RP stand point it makes no sense.
Who is taking the money? Why does it cost so much money?
From a functionality stand point it’s absurd.
It was billed as a major function and selling point of TWW… and it costs player gold.
It’s garrisons all over again.
Realistically I’d assume this was a way for the devs to improve token sales.
I assume the people that are taking the money are the same ones that farm brutosaurs in Zuldazar and export them to other zones as an import/export business.
But according to Blizzard back during BfA those Brontosaurs 
went extinct and that is why the Long Boi was removed from the vendor at the end of BfA but moved too the BMAH…makes a lot of sense…NOT
lots of things in the game exist for a good reason even if they make no sense from an RP point of view.

But they could literally just show us a picture of a greedy Goblin that’s demanding our coin on the tab menus… and bam, problem solved.
