Warband questions

seeing various posts on wowhead, it seems warbands are shared between accounts and realms an that, but appear to be singular in relation to regions, so if youre like me who plays on both NA and EU, it leaves me to think that my NA and EU accounts respectively have seperate warbands.

However further question i have is that seeing as i have multiple NA WoW licenses, do each of those licenses have seperate warbands too? or is it just 1 single warband for the two accounts and 1 warband for my EU account?

also how will warband related things work for legacy reputations and or currencies from days of old for those of who have packrat type characters and held on random items or currency type things that we felt were important? Will those transfer between toons or are they limited to the toon that earned whatever given item was?

Warbands are both region specific and bnet account wide.

Items I believe that are warbands usable are marked as such

There was a post that might explain it fully

This is not how it’s working for everybody, Kozzae. I just found a thread where at least three other people have separate warbands generated for their individual game accounts instead of just one for BNet.

If you mean different favorites based on the WoW license on a single Battle.net account, then yes, I believe that is how it sould work.

The shared part is all the other aspects like Achievements, collections, etc…

Otherwise, additional information would probably be helpful to see if it is intended or not.

I mean I have two separate warbands, one per game account, under my single/singular BNet account. I was expecting one completely integrated warband, as was one of the commenters in the thread I mentioned.

Please, tell me what information you need to sort this out.

There may be some confusion as to how that works. You won’t see all the characters from all WoW licenses you have on that Bnet account on the character selection screen. You’ll only see the characters on the WoW license you log into.

It is mentioned in the blog that Kozzae linked. I’ll quote and highlight it below.

Everyone All Together—Updated Character Select Screen

We have updated the Character Select screen so you can see your entire Warband in one list of characters. You will no longer need to swap between realms to see characters on those other realms. The one exception to this is if you have multiple World of Warcraft subscriptions within one Battle.net account. In this case, you will only see the characters on the account you’re logged in on even though all your characters across subscriptions are included as a part of your Warband.

All the character info, qualifying achievements, toys, heirlooms, mounts, appearances, etc… are integrated, but the character select screen only lists the WoW license you are logged into.

Thank you (and Kozzae) for the clarification. It’s definitely not the implication that was being given beforehand (not that you had anything to do with that), and it’s certainly not the functionality I was hoping for/expecting. No ‘exceptions’ were previously mentioned that I recall.

That article has been around since April, but I understand what you mean. I think the term “account” being used interchangeably for both Battlenet and WoW license may have caused a bit of confusion and that stipulation is pretty far down in very large and detailed article so it has been missed.

this was my understanding as well, barring regions of course.

though as it currently stands it seems my main NA license warband is seperate from alt NA accounts warband, though currencies i have on my various toons seem interchangeable in means of being transferable to any toon between the two accounts for the ones that can be transferred anyways.

I feel like I’m usually pretty up to date with these types of things but I was very confused too! I thought I’d see all my characters between my two licenses on the screen.

At least the currencies and warbank should work like expected.

Though now that I think about it, it’s likely good that they are separate character selects. That could definitely cause confusion when someone wanted to log into both accounts at once for party sync funsies.

I asked this on another thread, but would like clarification if possible. What about if I have two accounts, and transfer a character from one to another. Will the Warband reputation follow over to that account?

Bnet or wow account bnet isnt possible.

Warbands are region-wide across a Battle.Net account. The second account (presuming WoW license) will already have the reputation without the character transfer happening.

If you are referring to transferring characters from one Battle Net account to another, that option was removed before the pre-patch for The War Within.

Thanks guys. It’s the same BNet account, but different WoW license. So it seems like it should work out. Appreciate your quick replies!
