War Within last boss

I’d would laugh if somehow Xal’latath would become our ally in the story line.

More old god crap was added so something to do with them. Whatever the dark heart is being used for will be saved to kick off midnight.

Nope, that would be Fandral.

Then be prepared, because that will 100% happen.

Yeah. Agree with the ethereal end boss comment.

I’m thinking it’s going to be the ethereal that swiped the Dark Heart. After we lay them low, we get the big reveal of this expansion that informs us just who or what Xal is and - perhaps - her grand plan, or at least that plan more fleshed out.

Locus Walker.

Mysterious ethereals stole Xal’s bling. Who’s a mysterious ethereal that we know. Wrap it up and call it done, he sent them trying to seize the power that Alleria told him about so she has another opportunity to feel bad and question her questionable decisions. WoW’s writing ain’t deep or surprising.

Yeah. Whoever ends up being the final boss, I’m sure it will be someone no one really cares about.

It was Phase-Thief Azir who stole the Dark Heart, but there could definitely be some double crossings going on.

an elevator back to the surface.

I don’t believe it was him; but I am still unsure who it was

I like to think it is a double cross of Aleria’s void ‘friend’

Alleria’s friend is Locus-Walker and yeah definitely could be. Seems a bit unlikely to me, giving the stories dating back to Legion and the 1000 year war short story and how Locus Walker may play a role in Karesh’s “saving” down the road, but definitely could be some double crossing going on, yeah.

That is a possibility. We seen areas corrupted by the Black Blood. Orweyna claims that the roots are “part of something much greater than you know”, which could be Elun’Ahir.

It could be the BB has began to corrupt the roots and is spreading to Elun’Ahir. Last area might the stump of Elun’Ahir, and the last boss is going to be the source of the BB.

Who knows… this xpac just feels incredibly disjointed and thrown together… like we know there is an over arching narrative but it feels nonsenical to me (who came back in s2 and skipped s1) … we go from nerubian queen to gallywix to some etheral because of a macguffin.

I dont even know how the titans fit into this xpac but I am getting disc fragements every now and then… I dunno shadowlands ripped the soul of wow out of the game and it never really got put back in IMO.

There is too much universe ending stakes, not enough grounded mortal DND adventuring and storytelling.

I pvp only. But I do read quest text/watch cut scenes and at least do raid finder to see the content.

The storyline side of the game has looked dull to me since BfA ended.

I’m going to second this that the final area will be black blood related

I don’t think they’ll wrap up ethereals and their home world in a single patch. I feel that will be the premise of midnight. Although they did N’Zoth and Azshara in one patch so maybe

Yeah, agreed. I don’t think they will wrap up karesh either, necessarily, or ethereals, but show what Xal is really doing. As we stand over the fresh…“corpse” of Phase-Third Azir, Locus-Walker is there and explains why we needed to stop that renegade ethereal, and why Xal is really trying to do with the dark heart.

Kill the titans. Which she will succeed at doing in Midnight, hence the title “The Last Titan”. Which isn’t Azeroth, it’s Eonar, who will betray the rest of the titans after being corrupted by black blood at Elun’Ahir and thus won’t be killed with the rest. Oh but wait, that’s a swerve. We kill her in the first raid of TLT and then learn the real last titan is Sargeras, who we release, because he was a misunderstood good guy all along and we need him to defeat the void lord Dimensius. Yay.

im waiting for another plot twist, where xal’atath, a kind of wow-version of Silver Surfer, wants dark heart to kill dimensius herself - she’s been playing the long game. Maybe she saw Azeroth as enough power to finally get back at Dimensius for destroying karesh. Didn’t silver surfer turn on galactus?

I do think the last titan will be sargeras, unironically, so. His story’s thread needs some closure, judging by how blizzard has tried to close others’.

To me the heart and soul of the game is the conflict between the Alliance and the Horde… even when it is not at the forefront, manifesting in open hostility like MOP or BFA, there is still that rivalry that takes place, like in WOTLK which side will defeat the Lich King/rock up to the wrath gate Legolas/Gimli style “I couldn’t let the Alliance have all the fun today”. Even back then blizzard minimised Horde as Ner’zhul was the Lich King with Arthas being the vessel but they decided to leave out Ner’Zhul and make Arthas the focus (but horde still had a place in the story)… these days horde are not even in the xpac.

Just a new sotrytelling team that do not respect the origins of the story/want to push it in different directions from what made it great… hopefully Metzen takes it back to the old school.
