War Within last boss

Whoever it will be, I am sure it will be just as lame as the last few expansions.

I’d like it if it were the foot lady.
I know we won’t kill her.

Maybe this’ll be Blizzard’s take on people saying ā€œwe need to lose for onceā€.

I’m sure she won’t just slaughter us, of course, but I could see a ā€˜we win the fight but fail to stop whatever she was doing’ situation (and then she gets away ofc, since we already know she’s sticking around for longer than this expansion).

She wasn’t called ā€˜The Harbinger’ for no reason. She’s definitely not someone we’re completely stopping. That’d be a waste of a plotline. But that doesn’t mean we can’t touch her.

If it’s not her, it’s ethereal related. But that feels more Midnighty at this stage. Not saying we won’t fight that dude that keeps popping up as a boss (the one that now has the Dark Heart), but I think the lion’s share of that will come later and I don’t see him being the final boss. I feel like it needs to be Xal for TWW to stand on its own feet a bit better. Especially with Goblins wasting the middle portion of the plot on absolutely nothing that will matter going forward. Gotta go back to what’s already started for the Part 1 Finale IMO.

I honestly think this is the case. For Midnight, we were told the Void is coming for the Sunwell.

I think if she is the last boss we ā€œdefeatā€ her, but not before she completes her plan and brings the void to Azeroth in a larger scale.

I mean, if past performance is any indicator of future results, this is spot on the mark.

It’s NOT going to be Xal, because we know she’s already a part of Midnight.

So, she’s going to be alive throughout the whole of TWW.

Probably some kind of Void Lord or Ethereal or something, that ushers us into Midnight, is my guess.

We got that sneak preview of their home planet, after the void ethereal stole the macguffin.

You say this like we haven’t fought bosses who survived or otherwise showed up again later before.

Probably Iridikron

ā€œXal’atath will remain as an antagonist in both Midnight and The Last Titan, and will be confronted multiple times across the Worldsoul Saga.ā€

It’s literally on the wikipedia, at the bottom.

If they pull an Arthas or an Illidan with her this quickly, right after we kill her, and she comes back next expansion?

Then what’s the point?

She’s not gonna be ā€œthe final bossā€ of TWW, period.

People who say she’s the gonna be the final boss honestly can’t read.

And judging by this thread, it’s a frighteningly large amount of folks.

Nah, Iridikron won’t be back until the Last Titan. His base of operations during the War of the Scaleborn, was a massive underground tunnel network in Northrend.

We’re returning to Northrend in the Last Titan, I expect his zone to be the 13.1 patch at the latest.

Yes, multiple times throughout the Saga. Implying we may fight her in the War Within.

Can you? You just shared that she’d be fought multiple times.

taps title of the thread

ā€œFinal bossā€

That’s neither.

I can read just fine.

She can still be the final boss and we don’t kill her.

This has happened before with Garrosh and Kil’jaeden.

I said what I said with Arthas/Illidan lol.

I highly doubt Blizzard is gonna ā€œbring backā€ villains we already killed, largely because of how old and predictable that’s gotten.

Also it’s like, what’s the point of killing them?

It’s like that raid tier doesn’t matter because it’s all undone anyways.

Siege of Orgrimmar is basically pointless considering Garrosh escaped afterwards. Who did we stop? Loyalists?

TBC Black Temple, pointless too. ā€œIllidan was just helpingā€ lol.

Okay, not suggesting they would bring back anyone for the final boss of TWW.

But based on this:

She will be used for multiple encounters. We won’t be killing her off for awhile.

So which is it. Do you believe Blizzard when they said we’d fight her multiple times, or do you think she won’t be used for more than 1 encounter in the Saga?

Xal being the last boss of TWW and surviving makes sense for the narrative.

Also, Illidan is coming back again in 13.0, Metzen has already confirmed it.

She’s probably gonna be ā€œaā€ boss of The Last Titan, but likely not the final boss.

She’s gonna be taunting us and whatnot like she already has been.

More of her plans get foiled by us, she gets mad and finally attacks us, and we stomp her down.

But she’s a void being so she probably works for a bigger fish, my assumption anyway.

Iridikron similarly will probably be a boss, but I doubt he’d be an endboss, just because there’s bigger, more dangerous stuff than him.

Like, he (Iridikron) hates the titans, and is probably working to corrupt Azeroth into a void titan or something.

A Void Titan is a large enough threat, that I’d expect that to be a final boss or something of this entire saga. That, or Void Lords.

TLDR - Xal is just a lackey to something larger. She’s no Thanos or anything. Same with Iridikron.

We’re not talking about the final boss of the Last Titan. We’re talking about the final boss of the War Within.

She most definitely is not the final boss of the Last Titan.

Yeah, he’s either the penultimate boss in 13.0 or 13.1 if he isn’t the final boss of 13.1.

That’s just my answer to this:

Never said she was any endboss, just that we’ll be fighting her at some point in future expansions, likely the last one.

TWW’s last boss, I’m already assuming it’s gonna be some Void thing or Ethereals, based on the post-Undermine cinematic.

They showed us K’aresh, at least I’m assuming that’s what was shown.

Yes, wee may fight her once per expansion. I doubt the Elven form she’s currently in control of will survive the first encounter.

Hard to say where they’re going for 11.2 tbh. K’aresh could be just part of the final raid, maybe the back half.

Would be weird to take us off planet for a patch in an expansion focused on exploring the depths of the planet. I think we’re going to the Rootlands, home of the Harronir. Their culture and homeland have been brought up a few times throughout the story, would be weird not to explore it at all.

K’aresh seems like a likely candidate for Midnight content, tho. Just don’t know to what degree.

Can it be late summer already so we can have the Midnight content reveal?

Yeah, Rootlands might be first, really don’t know because both have pretty much been teased at this point.

K’aresh might be part of Midnight, who knows.
