Undermine was a big miss we should have seen the House of Chrome completely succumb to the powers of the void and become the goblin equivalent of skardyn after abusing the black blood. As is, filler plot. They will be known for incompetently losing chain of custody of the dark heart - not a great look

IMO the last boss will be Phase-Thief Azir. He is the etheral who stole the Dark Heart from Gallywix during the pre-raid campaign quest in Undermine.
Currently the Dark Heart infused with the black blood from the old gods is the biggest threat for Azeroth, and we need to prevent that it gets passed to The Devourer.
Xala’tath’s story will probably continue in Midnight and perhaps in The Last Titan as well.

I think it would be interesting if from a lore perspective we are the last boss. Like during the raid, we end up being corrupted by the Void, and then lore characters work to purge us. So from a technically stand point someone like Alleria is the last boss, but it’s because she’s being the hero against us.
Perhaps in saving us, she ends up falling to the Void as Xal’atath desires, and thus giving us a more personal stake in Midnight and what not.
