Blizz has shown us that these characters get visions, Anduin, Thrall, Jaina, Alleria… it would be cool if we got to experience them too, in-game, rather than just see others have them. Some kind of in game mechanic.

nah because if they do it like how anduin thrall jaina alleria get visions then players will complain about it impeding their gameplay
I think it would be a great “flavor” addition, but I think a lot of players would complain about it so I doubt it will happen outside of maybe 1 or 2 occurrences for story purposes.
Depends on how they do it.

Or else, its not like the game can predict what people consider their backstory and alignment to be outside of what class they are, but some would be trickier to guess then others. Like priests, for example.
Kind of reminds me of ‘The Stand’ where some people saw visions of Mother Abigail on her front porch and the others saw Randall Flagg and got the itch to go to Vegas.

What if we had trippin’ out visions like in Far Cry 3/4 where we walk through imaginary locations and battle vision demons! Could ride on the back of a void lord while smashing planets and battling titans.

I’d prefer something like Far Cry 5 when you hallucinate Faith talking to you. That bliss was something else.

Like we walk near a place for a quest and a cut scene happens with a vision. That would be kind of neat.

We had those in BFA and me and my friends would keep shouting “flashbang” in discord while doing leveling together on discord.

As along their scenarios in a quest, sure.
But as part of the normal gameplay when i’m doing something unrelated, that gets old fast.
Oh GOD no. I absolutely HATE how that game just rips you from whatever your doing just to be forced into a mission like that. I’l deal with your villains whenever i feel like it FC5! 
They’ll skip the dialogue / cutscenes then come here to complain the story makes no sense

Fair to say not like this. Perhaps it could be triggered on purpose by walking onto marked places on the floor.
