I can’t remember the last time I posted on the WoW forums but this change is sufficiently frustrating to make me do it
What is the reasoning for removing spellqueue functionality for Burden of Power after giving the O.K. to Nether Precision? Considering there is already precedent for this I’m surprised that there WASN’T an explanation included in these patch notes
The decision to leave spellqueueing intact for certain interactions but not for others does not sound, to me, like the developers are taking issue with the concept of spellqueueing (whether you consider it a consequence of an old game engine or a novel interaction or something else) and are instead targeting the specific performance increase derived from Burden of Power… in that case why not target the performance increase and leave the interaction itself intact?

Rage bait, don’t fall for it

Thank you for the continued adjustments based on player feedback and gameplay data. However, there is a growing concern within the community regarding the prioritization of these tuning changes, especially given the current state of heroic dungeon encounters. Many fights are over in less than 30 seconds, and trash mobs are being obliterated almost instantly, which skews the relevance of these tuning efforts.
Given the circumstances, it might be more beneficial to allocate development resources towards addressing the numerous bugs that are currently affecting gameplay, making some specializations nearly unplayable. Fixing these issues would likely significantly impact overall player experience more than minor tuning adjustments based on brief encounters.
While we appreciate the ongoing efforts to balance classes, the current environment suggests that a focus on resolving these underlying issues would be a more effective use of development time. Thank you for considering this feedback.

This is just utter insanity. We just went through this EXACT scenario with Nether Precision and you guys turn around and do this AGAIN. Nerf the damage of the spec, not the mechanics. Changes like these ruin the rest of the specs kit. Allow Burden to double dip exactly like Nether Precision but nerf the damage amount. Instead of reducing the duration of Arcane Soul, increase its duration but nerf its damage. Stop trying to mess up the rotation we so dearly have fallen in love with. Please, for the love of all mages. Stop.

Blizzard, don’t listen to these arcane mage people who rolled it purely because it was broken. Thank you for fixing it.
“Arcane is OP, how much should we nerf the dmg?”
“Well everyone is enjoying it so what if we just gut the rotation instead”

Dang, does this mean I can’t play Arcane anymore? That sucks.

nobody is upset about a damage nerf, why make it less fun?

fun
this word is used to justify broken-ness too often. And that’s what you’ve done here too. The mechanic was the broken part. Now it’s fixed.

Dude I give up… With the Umbral nerf these changes amount to basically a nerf almost. It comes out next to neutral, lol. So they basically just buffed a F tier spec by 0.3%.
This isn’t even a “buff” at all, as WoWhead called it. Its literally just shifting some damage away from our builders and putting it into spenders.

A “mechanic” that has been in the game for decades in various forms.

Here to note my serious displeasure with the choice to prevent burden double dip. This is a HUGE change a week before raid, and is an unknown percentage nerf (to you guys too) that would be fitting for advanced notice for 11.1. Nerfs are fine, but this is just insane and invalidates months of APL work.

People aren’t rolling it “because it was broken”. If they were doing that, then they’d just move to another spec that has more throughput and not care about this change. This is an embarrassing take on the state of things, considering you have to scroll through a ton of examples calling for an aura-nerf to bring them more in line with other spec’s damage (which should be done). We know arcane was overtuned, we just want our playability preserved as far as the rotation is concerned. It also respects the time and efforts of those who generate class/spec resources so they don’t need to spend hours upon hours generating accurate guides again.

You’re here just to antagonize people and it shows how immature you are. Everyone here is asking for Arcane to receive nerfs to its damage instead of changing how the rotation works and this upsets you? Really.

we will still be top dps even with these changes so it doesn’t fix that either. They should have just nerfed Mana Cascade and Spell Spheres with basic number nerfs so rotation stays same while nerfing dmg.
Also your spec literally was bugged for an entire expansion SOOOO yea.

Dang, what did us Shamans do to deserve this lol

Please blizz. Keep the double dip blast+barrage damage amp. Nerf our damage, but don’t make the playstyle more annoying…
As a side note, please look into buffing frostfire frost ty

You are just objectively wrong. We want the damage nerfed, we do not want our playstyle completely changed. Be quiet if you do not know what you are talking about. Read our posts no one is trying to say that the big damage is the problem. Reading is fundamental.

Didn’t you hear? There is no “fun” in competition, and that is what all these changes are about. The rest of the game is noise to them.
