So, I’m playing this in the same room as my son and I’ve had a bug to where I’ve not gotten a single cutscene or heard a single audio-based dialog exchange all day. This lasted from the moment I dropped down the hole until I realized just now it was occuring in the Hallow-whatever zone.
Bliz, that’s pretty terrible. This really shouldn’t happen to anyone, especially for people who paid $100 to enjoy the game a few days early. Fix it.

I had the same issue and I agree it completely killed the experience. It happened to with the first 2 cutscenes from Isle of Dorn after hitting lvl 80.
Of course it can be fixed and we can rewatch the cutscene as it should, but that first time will forever be ruined

Yes please. We are not in Beta anymore. Something like an audio bug for a full priced game should not be happening.

This started happening for me yesterday after reset. Hopefully we can get an answer on a work around, or they patch it. I wonder if it might be something system related. OP and others what is your system?
For me
AMD Ryzen 9 5900
128 GB DDR4 Ram
4080RTX

I came to the forums just to report this issue and found this thread, so I’m replying here.
So far, all cutscenes for the max-level campaign are bugged. They disable the voice lines for all characters not only during the cutscene, but also after it, requiring to exit the game entirely to fix the audio.
I’ve seen it happen in both the “Thrall and the Stormrooks” cutscene and the “Earthen break their vows and big Titan robot appears” cutscene. Today more chapters of the campaign have been released and I’ve not played them yet, but I’ve saw Wowhead posting a new cutscene and it too had no voices. I’m not advancing in the campaign until Blizzard fix this.

Thanks Alamara and everyone else; this has to be fixed ASAP. So sry, I know how much this spoils things first hand.

This has been happening to me too since the official launch with all the end game cut scenes that would probably be amazing with voices. I thought I was the only one, then saw this thread. Only way to fix it temporally (until it bugs out again entirely anyway) is to exit the game completely. Pretty annoying.

Same issue happening to me, as well; the exit-and-rejoin method works to restore VO but I had one cutscene that would just break it each time, the “Earthen break their vows and big Titan robot appears” that Alamara mentioned above. I just gave up and let it play but it’s an off-and-on problem through most of the post-80 content it seems.

Completely closing and rebooting the game fixed the dialogue audio outside of cutscenes for me, but getting into another cutscene makes the bug happen again. Hopefully this is addressed soon.

On occasion I’ve been able to abandon a quest with the bugged cutscene, reload the game and be able to start the quest over and experience it without the dialogue audio missing. Even that didn’t work during The Queen’s Chains.

Doing the quest “The Queen’s Chains” also inflicts the game audio bug. Had to exit the game to correct it.

Can confirm that this audio bug affects the following quests:
“Rook Rally” in Isle of Dorn
“The Edicts” at the Proscenium in Isle of Dorn
“The Queen’s Chains” in Azj-Kahet
It does take exiting and restarting the client to fix the problem. I recommend people consider turning on subtitles, so you can at least read the dialogue.

Same thing, audio outside of music doesn’t work in any cutscenes

Same issue, retarting the client does seem to fix it temporarily. It also seems to only affect the Dialog sound channel, all others continue working fine, but not even NPC click on audio works while bugged.

Any in-engine cutscene breaks all voice acting. Cutscene dialogue, click barks, everything until a full close-reopen.
With or without addons.

Same thing happening to me. Just started doing it today. Dialog stops when a cinematic starts, so you see the cinematic without any sound, and afterwards all NPC dialogs are gone. Like when you click Thrall he would say Lok’tar but all NPC’s are mute. Very frustrating not knowing whats being said in the cinematics.
Also Blizz, it kills audio for all in game dialogue and sounds from NPCS (Grunts, greetings, and any other voice lines outside of cutscenes).
