War Prisoners, Bandits, and Bouncers....oh my!

I watch some forms of anime where a village is raided or a town is attacked at night and several villagers are captured or stolen and kept as prisoners by others. It made me wonder if there are guilds/groups that do that or have a history of capturing towns people for use in different ways.

Alliance on Horde towns (vice versa) or Enemy guilds on “seemingly” innocent civilians.

Hold for randsome/kidnapping/etc or war prisoners as permanent side kicks (or more naferious purposes).

Like from Warcraft 3 where the orcs attack the village of Stranbrad and use them in a ritual sacrifice to appease their demon masters.

There was a time when a family of players from Darkshire were cannibals. Very creepy.
“Come in we have warm beds, soft chairs, and are serving up stew. Oh and you just happen to be the final ingredient.”

Now of course that is not the only use of prisoners. They could be used in gladiator rings as fighters for the glory of others. Or Arena matches with a profit.

(Since there are casino roll gamblers in Stormwind, this could be another avenue for gold making and player entertainment. Gold risks on what player wins on talent (use of common gear only/white lettering items). The Arena south of Stormwind could have other uses.)

Do some guilds capture players acting the role of villagers that are then locked in cells, while their families put up posters to have them rescued and returned. Of course not all “captured” players may be so innocent. Some may choose to join their captors as rebels, or bandits. Much like how the syndicate operates or the Defias used to.

Picture Twinblades Camp from Fable if you are familiar as well.

Do players often act out the role of war prisoners or bandit victims? They could escape, form bandit/rebel groups that threaten the safety of a town or flee and are hunted down by the guardsmen.

You always see groups like the Scarlet Crusade in town, but what about groups that invade the capital cities, disguised as commoners then unveil themselves and capture the throne or take over?

I saw a post from one of the High Elf guilds planning an uprising in stormwind. Beware.

(Since Anduin or Turalyon aren’t on the throne. I went to the throne room on an 80 and no one but the guards were there and no pvp raid attacked. Open throne to rule perhaps?)

The SC could capture, kidnap the cardinal or a priestess and its up to the knights or other group to go rescue and return her to the cathedral.

Stormwind has a prison, but are there guilds that operate like the warden and cell guards. Picture Shawshank Redemption if you will.

Generally its always just Stormwind Guards/Patrol Guards.

Do some guilds have players that operate the role as hand maidens like Queen Azshara, butlers like Alfred, or caretakers. Other roles include mistress, housekeeper, steward, etc.

Like the estate in Kul Tiras. I forget the name (where the horse obstacle course is).

Is there a guild that specializes in catering or host services? They come in play the role as hostess, cook, waiter, kitchen staff, security, bell boy, valet. Get paid a gold sum to serve the purposes then leave when complete. Even for weddings.

(Don’t forget DJ for those voice chat operations, bouncer, etc.)

OOC:

(As the ‘Empress of Pandaria’ and Monarch of the Realm; I want to be kidnapped, held for randsome, or an attempted assassination. Just an idea course.)

(Gives the Shado Pan something to do, or can cause a political alliance event. Not many players visit pandaria these days for long periods. Leveling or questing for drops about sums it up.)

(My loyalty is solely to the pandaren nation and its people. I fly around the realm every day/evening. I’ve even healed my fellow pandaren or an outlander here/there when in trouble, since it is my responsibility as a priest.)

Pretty sure that most self-appointed nobles are frowned upon. Then again having a living leader opposed to npcs might stir up some story ideas or events.

There never was an ‘in-game’ coronation event for Anduin from prince to king.

You can’t say the ‘S’ word. Shhh…

Btw there is a toy for that… ‘Hot Buttered Popcorn’.

(That was my original intention. I’m not looking to give orders or have people obey, but i am looking to have fellow pandaren to socialize with.)

(Imagine if you could sit down with your leaders and discuss concerns or find answers to questions that you are unsure about. Get the big perspective.)

(I once asked if the Mantid were vital or necessary as a race. See link below. I still believe they are a vital part of the pandaren culture and way of life even if they are an evil that has scarred many.)

Actually… Players claiming Royal titles are generally speaking taboo, but the nature of roleplay empowers players with the creative liberty to do exactly that - RP as a Royal.

Quick Moon Guard history: In the Cataclysm—Warlords of Draenor era, there was a player who advertised themselves as the “Queen of Lordaeron” The caveat was that she was just a “claimant” This, coupled with the player’s excellent story writing, fan art, and modestly sized supporting player base gave her RP great success.

Then Legion hits and Blizz returns Calia Menethil to the front page of the lore and all of this player’s creative liberty on the lore came crashing down around them.

TLDR: Royal characters are cringe and taboo, but exceptions to the Rule can happen, assuming you get enough players to legitimize the claim.
