Strategies

  • Kill them
  • Have 2 accounts with mining? Leave one on a node in an area, bots will all swarm and sit at location
  • Create a opposite faction member; hunt them down

Do your part! Force action on botting; we can make a difference

also, mass report them with the help of ur guild. That’s what we going to do in fresh servers

I’m sorry, this is a far too potent strategy. If mass reports can get somebody banned after, say, 25 reports, this opens a whole new gateway to getting innocent people who may just be guildless and farming gold banned, as well as guild rivalries / opponents.

Don’t get me wrong however, I’m certainly against botting. Just don’t let one person in your guild find an innocent player and mass-report them as being a bot before at least investigating the so-called “bot”.

I was legit just called a bot by a player in Terrokar on my paladin just killing quest mobs. I sent a tell “WTF are you talking about?” lol. So yea, just be sure the person is a bot. I’m all for banning bots, but just don’t get actual players caught in it all.

Here is my Sunday suggestion

Increase all subs by 1 dollar and each dollar goes toward paying blizzard to staff someone to permanently ban bots, 8 hours a day 5 days a week.

Or you know blizzard just do what devs are supposed to do without money but we all know that isn’t happening

yeah for sure. It’s kinda easy to differentiate a bot from a normal player so no worries

Agreed, i know i have reported a few bots, but i watched them for a long time. Once i thought they were a bot, i would tag a couple of mobs before they did to see how it reacted.

A lot of them sit inside instanced dungeons…so all you can do is report them if you know which dungeon to /who

I assure you, it can be done, Blizzard removed the faction lock.
