There’s easy lore for that, most of the other tribes by the MoP era had been dominated by the Zandalari to such extents that they follow their orders, which is why the city of Zandalar is sorta like troll UN with representatives of all the other troll races hanging out (including the only dark troll left alive, as of BFAs lore, by the way)

Naturally when the Zandalari joined the Horde, we drew some Farakki and Gurubashi in too.

wyrmrest why can we do this but we can’t assume dark skinned elves were around the whole time post-Highborne mutations

Your thread doesn’t explain why rocks turned into white vikings.

They just did because that’s what blizzard wanted. I can’t believe that its pandering to add a few skin tones that people have wanted for ages… It strengthens the universe because like I said before: Why weren’t these things around before?

It makes less sense that only one skin tone is available and doesn’t need a lore explanation, than that new skin tones become available and do.

6 is my lucky number because I was born on the 6th let’s fight

Also I find it curious that, yet again, black dwarves and humans are suddenly available, but don’t need the same scrutiny… When they won’t get a lore explanation either?

Happy birthday! :confetti_ball::birthday::tada::gift::balloon:

Well, the trolls are literally established as being spread out amongst many, many, many tribes the world over, not having sequestered themselves to a magical northern kingdom, so maybe there’s some subtle lore differences here?

and maybe there isn’t? maybe these blood elves just are and were as quel’dorei too

How’s this for explanation: blizzard writes the story and lore. They make black elves. Black elves exist.

There you go good night

They don’t need one. WIldhammer dwarves have always been described as darker than Bronzebeard dwarves. Gnomes and humans both have a presence in Tanaris, which is a place were a curse-fleshed species that contains melanin absolutely would darken.

Elf coloration previously was established to be 100% the result of magic.

That’s why people aren’t asking the same questions for the other 4 races.

already explained this several times :slight_smile:

Yeah magic can’t explain skin color at all…wait
