Have you ever RP’d? There’s been people rolling non-white Blood Elves for a long time. It just seems you’re… Excluding people for your own biases. An old friend of mine (we haven’t talked for a while) had her well-established character as a dark skinned elf. And you know what? Everyone else didn’t question it, because there is no basis in questioning something like that without sounding like a horrible person.
Your experience is put into question, and your ability as a roleplayer is curious.

Sure, and Devi exists in lore, but blood elves used to simply have a much darker red skin color option before the model update, and that’s what most people used to mean by “dark skinned blood elf”
I’d know, I used to be one too.
Any good roleplayer knows not to asign omniscience to their character. I roleplay working class goblins. My character is free to make false assumptions about yours.
Maybe if you read the reddit thread I kept directing you towards…
Fine. But when the player is projecting their own messed up prejudices onto the character that’s where I draw the line on separating IC and OOC

i’m not toxic, i just try to discredit them with:
- being bored unemployed people because of current events
- telling people to go lick shopping carts because COVID-19 is “gallows humour”
- telling them that they’re level 100
- accusing everyone of gaslighting
- calling people Heather/Karen/Brad because they disagree with you
- telling them their mog is bad
- thinking someone doesn’t roleplay just because they disagree with you
- accusing people of having a Reddit account (i’m too much of an old man to know what this one means honestly)
any good roleplayer knows that lore is malleable to a degree but heaven forbid a brown Sin’dorei shows up

If it’s “messed up prejudices”, why am I super cool with black dwarves and gnomes? I’ve always wanted to play a dark WIldhammer dwarf.
It’s not a prejudice. It’s a critique with the specifics of how the customization options for one particular race were expanded with disregard for established lore, and a request that the retcon at least be written to accomodate them instead of left unsaid.
