War Mode is a joke and it's blizz's fault

Why even have the option for War mode when you can just queue for an instance or w/e and get instantly saved/phased out? Sitting here in ZM trying to enjoy crushing players in world pvp and they just instant phase out constantly. I’m sitting like like 100+ kills this week and should be well over that, but cheap phasing tricks ruin it.

  1. Players are shard locked while in WM. If they join an LFG group they are shard locked until they go to a rest area. Shouldn’t be allowed to camp an LFG invite and phase out of combat.
  2. Players in combat are shard locked and cannot join dungeon finder or LFR queues of any kind.

What is your justification for allowing people to freely leave combat when the are getting pwned?

You’ve always been able to take a queue while out in the world.

At least they don’t have a macro that drops a quest that auto ports them to Vol’dun

You can never blame Blizz for what the player base finds unfun.Look at the TBC servers, they became pve servers overnight due to player decisions.

If you sit in a random battleground que warmode is the safest instance of pveing and pvping maybe youre just not utilizing war mode right

Its not the WM its the server tech. Go to STV in any server with WM on. Nobody anywhere. Millions people still play don’t tell me nobody else has WM on in STV. It does not add up.

Arena skirmish are best to queue up as they generally don’t take that long. As long as you’re already queued when you die and enter the arena you’ll be alive and well once you pop out again. Also good for invading capital cities as it saves you a long 10 minute corpse run.

Yea, I been doing a lot of solo arena queue, but I want to play in the open world and have battles. I miss the old gangs, clans, and wars started over players getting clapped while questing. Natural PvP is the most fun I’ve ever had in WoW and still is. Every now and then I get into some super fun battles before bad players start abusing sharding tech to avoid combat deaths and/or form massive sharded raids. WM is the worst thing ever, but it had potential to be really fun.

How many people actually have WM on out of those millions?

Probably less than 1000. And they are all sharded to their lone shard. Purposefully. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I am curious. What if EVERY server was a PvP server? I wonder if it would make or break WoW. For people who can’t quite stomach it, there’s always Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

That’s why I can’t quite stand the BG and Arena experience because it makes things too clean. You don’t need WM on or need to be in a PvP server to participate in those.

There should be Warzones aswell. Like sieges and building capture. Over 100 areas. Very easy content to add and expand. Add rewards and players fight it out. Everyday new capture point for example.

It would break WoW because nobody wants that.

I’m considering the fact that when it comes to instances, you just stick with your guild and do most of your progression work there. There’s little reason to go out into the world past a certain point. We remember the arguments that you don’t have to go to the BGs where they are to enter in.

Because if most of the community is going to be in instances so much of the time, why would they care if you would be flagged for PvP outside capitals and sanctuaries? Just a feast for thought.

I think less attention needs to be given towards progression in BG and Arena to make WPvP great again, because BG and Arena what everyone wants to talk about and what everyone wants to do. However, I think that’s what might break WoW harder is when you disenfranchise certain venues. It’s unfortunate that we can ill afford to lose the rated PvPers.

That doesn’t make any sense. Why would they give less attention to something all pvpers do?

To get them out of there and more into the open world. It just wouldn’t make sense because that’s dangerous.

I only do casual BGs and Shuffles just as a means to an end. Chores. It works for me, but the open-world is where I really want to be.

None needed. People will always try to find a way out.

Sounds like you really want to fight AI.

No, I clearly stated I wanted to be able to PvP in the open world w/ out noobs using exploits and sharding mechanics to escape when they are getting dunked on. I want mountains of skulls and rivers of blood.

So you want to fight idiots.

Those exploits have been around for a decade at least. Sharding’s been around for years. You’re expecting people not to use them when using them is smart.

Sharding might be in a continual process of being fine-tuned, but it’s not at the point you want it to be, and may never reach it. I can’t see them taking away the ability to accept a queue because the world is both a PvE and a PvP setting.

You’ll have to get your mountain and rivers one bone and one vial at a time.

I love War Mode! I’m extremely glad they added it. I hope it never goes away.
