You want changes made to a system that you haven’t the slightest clue as to how it works. Right… /biggesteyerollever
What part of “I do it all the time with my friend” do you not understand?
Yes it does. It’s one node. Once someone taps it, it’s on a timer. After so many seconds, it’s gone for everyone. You’re not understanding how it works.
Oy vey… I box while grouped and not grouped and have teams that gather. The node is on a timer once tapped. They made this change in WoD, foolio. Put down the keyboard and take a pill.
I do understand how it works. I am also able to loot nodes well after someone else as already looted them.
That’s because it’s timed after the first tap, duh-face. Gawd… are you really this thick or just playing a fool? Either way you’re just making yourself look obtuse.
Are you brain dead? That’s exactly what I’m saying. o.O
You’re out here implying that there is a very large amount of time after someone first taps a node where another player can loot it. This is patently false. The time is 10-15 seconds, tops, and that is not very long at all. All you have to do to prevent an opposite faction player is bother them for that long.
Most certainly not what you said, liar.
Reminds me of those disappearing chests on Argus mid loot.
I’m okay for competing resources, but keep the sharding out.
What are you talking about, if you attack the enemy they can’t tap the node… if that sort of thing is what floats your pvp boat.
I’m not implying anything. I’m saying that player should be competing over resources and you all are rambling on about how player aren’t competing over resources as if I didn’t already know that.
Because that’s not how competition works. If both parties can mine the node, then they both will mind the node and move on to the next. There’s NO REASON TO FIGHT OVER IT.
You don’t understand the motivation at all. I’m out harvesting nodes. If I see another person harvesting nodes, there’s no incentive to engage in combat for it. We just both harvest it and move on. If I engage in combat, there’s the chance that I die and not harvesting the next node, so why fight?
but if everyone has to compete for the same node or they get nothing, they are incentivized to fight for the right to do so.
If you don’t care about Open World PvP, just say so and move on.
Honestly, I get this part of your argument. I’m just saying that your earlier posts implied something that isn’t true.
Unfortunately the ability for nodes to remain for that short amount of time after the first player harvests it likely isn’t going away. The suggestion makes perfect sense for War Mode specifically, but I don’t have confidence Blizzard would agree.
You’re just misunderstanding my point.
If two people can harvest a node, two people will just harvest the node. No amount of timers is going to prevent two players from harvesting the node when it’s relevant for them to do so. That someone comes around 10-15-30 seconds later and can’t harvest the node is meaningless when the point of interaction is already past.
Go harvest a node, and count to 15. It’s longer than you think it is. And if you are out there harvesting, you can be long gone and harvesting the next node 15 seconds later.
The entire point of the topic is the interaction between players at the point in time where it’s relevant for them to interact.
If you don’t have basic reading comprehension skills, just say so and move on.
… and you wonder why the PvP servers were taken away and the majority of the WoW playerbase wanted nothing to do with PvP servers and now warmode?
/smacks forehead
The PvP servers, and now War Mode, aren’t meant for you. And what’s cool is, you never have to turn it on now if that’s not the kind of game play you enjoy. There are some of us, however, who DO enjoy that kind of dynamic. There’s absolutely no need for you to come in to the conversation and qq about it, so don’t.
If you don’t have any understanding of Open World PvP (which it’s quite clear you don’t), then you should probably not get yourself wrapped up in a conversation about it.
If you can’t understand any of the replies to your thread, you probably shouldn’t start one.
There is when you’ve only got soany seconds to get it and you keep them from getting it before it disappears.
I’m not sure why you’re not understanding this.
If you both get there at the same time, stop them, gather the node, keep them fighting till that node disappears and they can’t gather it. If you get there first, do the same.
That is where you are wrong. Person #1 mines the vein or picks the herb, a timer starts. If persons 2, 3, 4 don’t make it within that time, they get nuttin.
