Nodes should not be player instanced in War Mode. Players should be competing for those resources.
Player instanced? I thought nodes just lasted for a certain amount of time after someone picked them? Is it different in WM?
You are correct. There is no difference between warmode and non-warmode gathering nodes.

Yes, every player in the game gets their own instance of the gathering nodes. Nobody competes for materials anymore.

I don’t need a source, that’s how the game works now. It’s been that way for at least two expansions now.
If you are seeing nodes disappear it’s not because someone else gathered it, it’s because you’ve been assigned to a different shard.
I don’t need to believe you then either and I don’t. Because guess what the guy before me who has just mine a node that has disappeared for me is also still there so he would have had to shift as well and since I have had that happen a number of times I don’t think I am doing any shifting.
Not really. The nodes will disappear after a while once they’ve been farmed. It’s not an “instance”.
They don’t. Two people can walk up to the same node and both farm the node. I do it all the time with my friend.
They have made the nodes multi-tap
However, herbs and ore are now multi-tap. In other words, you can’t steal anybody else’s resources and they can’t steal yours. If two Miners run up to the same mining node, both players can harvest the ore.
In other words, same as mobs - 5 people can tag and all get loot. They all aren’t instanced separately.
No they do. It’s either time or charge based but they disappear if you don’t farm them right away. If that wasn’t the case all the nodes would be up all the time.
It’s more likely that any particular location can only have so many active nodes.
Regardless, as Amine posted above, Node can be harvested by each individual player who walks up to the node to farm them.
Call it whatever want, players are no longer competing for nodes and I think that, at least in War Mode, this should be changed back to how it worked previously.

Yes they are. They only have so many seconds before it disappears. So they’re still competing to reach nodes in time.

In the past, only one player could harvest an active node. Now, if two opposing faction players come up to the node, there’s no need to fight over it, you can both harvest it and go on your separate way with a friendly wave.
I’m not sure what part of this equation you guys aren’t getting.
There are still people there from the opposing faction. Kill each other. If someone harvested it first and you’re trying to get to it before it disappears, fight with them and by the time you’re done, they didn’t get the node, because it’s gone. Stun them, sap them, gather the node, fight them, watch node disappear and they lose out.
Just my line of thinking.
We get it. If you’re in Warmode just kill them to deny them the node. By the time they run back it will likely be gone.
The node will still be there for them.
You seem to be missing the entirety of what’s happening.
No it won’t. Not if you stop them from getting to it before it disappears.
I think you’re the one misunderstanding.
It doesn’t disappear for them, unless you are suggesting that the player who “won” camp their corpse for several minutes, during which someone else could be gathering all the other nodes while you wait around trying to prevent that one guy from getting one node.
You are missing the entire point of the interaction.
