This is AMAZING NEWS! If wands are able to be transmogged into maces AND daggers, then it’s very good news for dagger users as well! Hopefully, when using daggers on a rogue, we’ll no longer be restrained!
I’ve been playing Assassination Rogue for a while, and I’m thrilled to hear this. It’s basically guaranteed, because wands are different weapon types/attack speeds than maces and daggers.
Such great news! Can’t wait to actually have a good transmog, so I know which class I’m playing in Shadowlands.

Cool. The question then becomes, do they lose their ranged attack when you transmog them?
That’s what I was thinking. Don’t know how they’re gonna work around that. But who cares! I’m gonna look pretty.

Indeed. Kind of irritating, and the only reason I clicked on this thread.
I mean, it only really effects people who can use wands, right? And I can transmog all my weapons to my Mage Tower appearance except when I get a wand. Then it has to be a wand.
Why would they do this? Isn’t the point of the wand to do the ranged attack? It’s like changing a bow into an axe.
It doesn’t make sense. Keep them seperate.

No, wands are different from bows. You can still make a melee weapon shoot magic. It makes more sense than an axe all of the sudden shooting arrows. Besides, why not just do it for the fun of it? Give players freedom over their character.
The point of the wand is to be a stat stick just like any other weapon a mage, lock or priest can use. If you are using any weapon as those classes as an actual weapon in retail then you are doing it wrong. If you were talking about classic you might have a point, but not retail.
Literally. If you’re basic attacking as a mage, we have a problem.
