Why? All the problems in Classic are still there in TBC, except faction balance is even worse. If you’re not having fun now, chances are you’ll never have fun and always have things to complain about.

I think TBC should come once enough people get full naxx gear on their five alts.
RBG would solve the PVP issues… and all i care about is pvp so even though Vanilla is my favorite I think id rather play TBC instead of this awful version

I’d love to play TBC tbh. Classic is great but I played it on private servers and at this point there’s just a few raids left.

Err no. TBC has all the vanilla content, but with way more content/options at max level.
Most likely we’ll not be seeing TBC until fall 2021.
It might not be until 2022. I dont see them pushing out TBC when shadowlands is only a year old.

Shadowlands release is irrelevant as it’s a completely different game just as classic is to retail.
Following the original vanilla timeline (which would be generous since current players clear vanilla content way too fast for the old timeline)
Vanilla Release Date: Nov 11 2004
TBC Release Date: Jan 16 2007
Time between Vanilla->TBC Release: 784 days
Classic TBC Estimated Release Date with a generous timeline: October 19, 2021
That being said, this timeline is not moving at the same pace as original vanilla when nobody knew what they were doing.
For example, AV was released June 10, 2005. This was 199 days after vanilla was released. On the other hand, for classic, Alterac Valley was released December 10, only 105 days after classic’s release.

They may be different games in theory, but blizz still wants people to buy the expansion.
You make a good point, but then again isn’t shadowlands scheduled to release this year?
Also, this. I would be surprised if >10% of classic players buy Shadowlands. It kind of looks like some kind of bad april fool’s joke tbh.

I think both Blizzard and the body of retail players vastly overestimate how much we… connect with them.
Very, very few Classic players will buy Shadowlands NO MATTER WHAT.

From what I can see, the vanilla honor system is causing huge issues. We won’t see that in TBC. the serious pvpers will be in arenas which will leave bgs for the casual fun and honor pvp grinding.
Alterac valley horde starting area SHOULD move back as well.
