people can exist without a class before becoming a “hero”
Void elves prime example.
They existed as high elves, became blood elves, then turned themselves into void elves.
Then they become a ‘class’ lol.
You are also telling me no new worgens have been made from cata to now?
It doesn’t really matter what we believe to be canon, it matters what Blizzard believes to be canon. Canon says that all worgen are in a constant conflict with their inner beast. Some might have been able to gain better control over it, but the rage is always there for Gilneans. That rage is what makes it hard for them to gain inner peace to become monks.
At the rate Blizzard is going I do expect Worgen/goblin/light forged monks…but not this expac. It is clear new race/class combos are added at the START of expansions. So better luck after DF?
This would be a perfect lore build up for visage for worgens being able to stay in human form out of combat and shift for combat like evokers, and allow them to learn how to be monks as well.
Because the scarlet crusade wanted to teach their own people
When you first make a character and do the old zones, you don’t see a blood elf monk, a tauren monk, you first see PANDARENS
Because it doesn’t fit your narrative? hypocrite
But YOU as the character is a hero that wants to do good for your people and azeroth based on what your race KNOWS in their respective zones upon level 1
I feel like it doesn’t really have anything to do with the lore. It’s possible Blizzard made up their minds that worgens and goblins shouldn’t be monks a while ago, and no one wanted to bring up the subject again or something like that. I feel like it has something to do with the Devs rather than the game.
Have to disagree, tbh. I think it’s quite stupid, but I also don’t complain because the race/class combo is fine. They could just do a lot better to explain things. There is a level of irony in feeling like Teron Gorefiend’s era of Death Knights had more exposition for their existence than Acherus era Death Knights.
Tbh I’m sad they won’t expand on obvious additions.
Like nelf paladins. You can literally watch one a nelf become a paladin in legion.
Or obvious ones like spacegoat rogues. It took them this long to make it happen too, which hurts.
