this sounds like a mob practice. just enough to use for bribes and ‘hardware’ for completing the missions you assign them.
I took it as… once. That is all they get. Then they have to fend for themselves. I bet if they get more they have are forced to send it to the tax bank.

i also didn’t realize the warbank had a gold deposit option until i decided to mess around and level a void elf, it’s - mostly - all on fair.

I’ve been sending all my gold to a bank alt since BFA.
All that changed was with warbands I put it in the warbank now
