There are many, many varieties, depending on what you use for the fermentation process. I’ve seen people use corn, wheat, and even various kinds of fruit. It all depends on what you have ready to hand when it’s moonshinin’ time.

The other thing to remember is that moonshine is distilled liquor. You can make all of the fermented drink you want, no problem; home brew is something that just about everyone was more or less expected to do back in the day. It’s the fortified stuff that the revenuers would get their shorts in a knot about.

technically you’re limited to 200 gallons a year but . . . I don’t think any home brewer is making that much lmao.

I’m trying to wrap my head around how big a rig you’d have to have to make that much, and your HOA would probably be all up in your business before you got halfway there.

Eh, 5 of these in your garage.

At $1,700 each that’s $8500.

Of course you’d need some automated process for bottling otherwise it would take hours.

Looks like way too much work, either way. I’ll leave that to them as enjoy it.
