Can we bomb both? I’m sorta only here for the prospect of ultimately meaningless violence.
Hey, I like this guy. He’s my kinda orc.
Not for us to decide, gents. This one is all on Reixchal.
If it must happen, then I’m also down with both cities being wiped out. Stormwind has already been sacked a number of times and well, Orgrimmar doesn’t have chairs. But, I would have to insist that all citizens be evacuated before the cities were destroyed. I really don’t want to see another senseless massacre like Teldrassil.
If we get too tied up in the logistics then we’re taking away from the main problem here, which is vulperan respect.
Ahhh. But, if the Vulpera were to be merciful and let the two cities be evacuated before destroying them, then that would guarantee they would have respect for generations.
Burn em both down, then rebuild new cities entirely…with player housing.
They took our jobs
Haha! Short and fuzzy!
This said, I do agree as it’s at the point where I look at it and wonder if they have an actual valid grievance or if they’re crying for attention at this point.
It would have been cooler to have the snake folk.
It kinda defeats the purpose of destroying the city.
No, no it wont.
Wearing the flayed skull of your enemies is a good start. A few of the Vulpera are already on the right track. Just need to get the rest on board.
Everything you just said, the finest of poetry. With how you described it? It’s nothing but straight facts and I applaud you for reaching into my mind and pick out every last word I was going to say.
Depends on the goal.
Destroying the people and the nation, yes. Demoralizing the nation and causing a massive drain on their enemies, that’s an entirely different kettle of fish.
That’s tens of thousands of refugees that need to be escorted, guarded, fed, sheltered, given medical aid and treatment, and that’s resources the enemy can’t spend on the war effort. Furthermore, it can sow resentment and bitterness between allies, that they didn’t do more to save their allies, that they begrudged every bowl of soup or thin blanket, that the refugees demanded everything and gave nothing, that their people are once again carrying the burden of the war and now they have to carry these cowards too, etc etc.
If I wanted to completely demoralize the Alliance, forcing Ironforge and Arathai to handle a huge swarm of refugees would be my first goal if I was in charge of dismantling the Alliance.
- I could claim to be ‘merciful’ by avoiding civilian casualties, while simultaneously pushing the cost of looking after those refugees on the Alliance without burdening the Horde with the strain of feeding, tending to and incarcerating all those civilians.
- With the added strain on supplies for these two largest and most easily accessibly allies of Stormwind, attacking their food and water supplies, as well as capturing their supply lines and forcing them to pick between saving their allies or saving their own supplies, can only foster more bitterness and resentment between the allies.
- Attacking their sanitation and funnelling supplies, weapons and the like through third-party agents to the most aggressive refugees and resentful allies creates more tension and possibly infighting, drawing even more troops and resources away from the frontlines and making encircling their territories and capitals even easier for my forces.
For the Alliance, things are both more difficult, and simpler at the same time.
- Unlike the Alliance, the majority of the citizens of Orgrimmar are Orcs, and that involves a Death-or-Glory cultural ‘quirk’, but more than that, it would demoralize the non-Orcs of Orgrimmar and the Orc civilians who did survive would feel shamed not only in the eyes of their peers, but in the eyes of their ancestors too, which leads us to …
- The Horde has the opposite problem of the Alliance, in that while every civilian is a trained combatant to some level, if not all trained to the level of a career soldier, Orcs, Trolls and Tauren eat a lot. Furthermore, while the Horde has dominated at the start of almost every conflict, Orcs don’t do well with protracted fights, for several reasons. Natural impulse is to charge forwards and attack, they eat A LOT of food, and their natural aggressive tendencies, being more geared to fight than flight due to Draenor being a Death-World, and their bruised egos at being ‘let go’ rather than granted an honorable death on the battlefield will make it hard for their commanders to keep control and prevent reckless, and unathorized, sorties against the Alliance army, and focus that resentment and irritation inwards, against other Orcs, and the Allies of Orgrimmar.
- While almost every citizen of Orgrimmar is trained to forage and fight, the surrounding territories aren’t exactly overflowing with natural resources for a huge swath of starving, angry and homeless Orcs and Co to utilize. Azshara and Bilgewater Port are a natural win for the Horde here but the land isn’t rich in food, and the water supplies are still suspect, if not still tainted, due to Gallywix and Garrosh’s strip-mining of the region. Thunder Bluff and the Stonetalon Mountains certainly have the room, and the grain and prey-animals to support the refugees, but that means the Horde civilians have to trek across the Barrens, and that’s weeks of travel, at best, by foot, and they have to deal with Centaur, Harpies, Quilboar, feral beasts and druidic horrors from the Wailing Caverns, and the giant lava-filled ravine in the middle of the damn place is going to be a big problem for the refugees. A few siege-tanks and supporting soldiers to knock out any bridges that exist or are built, and sooner or later the swarm of refugees is going to disintegrate due to the strain of a lack of food, shelter, medical supplies and internal disputes.

that his people blew up
Controversial take: Velen blew it up.
He knew the Legion was chasing him. He went to the orc home planet anyways. He brought the Legion to the orcs and all the events that happened afterwards.

I think regardless of who did actually blow it up, it was definitely the Legion’s fault? I’m not sure you can blame a pre-industrial orc society for being manipulated and controlled by space satans.
I’m gonna pull my daily allotment of “Ackshually…” here, but the Draenei didn’t plan to land on the Orcs’ homeworld, their Naaru that were powering the Dimensional Fortress’s engines began turning Void suddenly and the whole ship went down like the Titanic.
Full credit to the Draenei, they tried to fix the problems caused by their crash-landing, still keep themselves hidden from the Legion to spare not only themselves, but the first world they’d ever encountered with Sapient life, and even after trouncing the Ogres to the point their society collapsed and with the Burning Blade Clan being absolute nightmares in various ways, still traded peacefully with those Orcs and Orc Clans that were willing to.
With their technology and advancement, they could have ruled Draenor, but still chose to try and be the best examples of the Eredar that they had always been.
…Um… How’d this topic suddenly become “Do I blow up the major cities?” Ahahah… As much as I hate a chunk of players for how stupid they are when it comes to RP, I don’t wanna nuke 'em… That’d just bring down a hammer of justice onto me, no matter which one I went for…
There would only be justice if the story demands it, which it doesn’t, so you’re free to make the right choice.
People do the racism thing against Vulpera because they think it ruins the machoness of the Horde. They did the same thing whining about blood elves in TBC. It definitely is annoying to see. They will generally stop when they get public push back because at the end of the day they are conflict averse. Referring more to the people who cry about it in trade. They absolutely can not take a fraction of what they dish out.
I feel like there needs to be more focus on the development of the different civilizations of the horde and alliance specifically. Id like to see growth on how their own individual systems have evolved with the times, repairs and expansions on cities, shrinking of outposts no longer used for the most part, and just an overall world update.
