Vulpera probably is the next Neutral Race

I will let you know when I care about what you people think of me.

When has Blizzard ever cared about plot? Alliance helped save the Nightborne from actually having their immortal souls eaten by demons. Didn’t stop them from turning around and going Horde because Tyrande expressed distrust while saving their lives.

All they need to do is have Sylvanas be mean to a few Vulpera or something towards the end of the expac and boom, Alliance Vulpera.

Pandas being kept out of the current abomination of a story turned out to be a very good thing though.

Pretty sure it was far more than just Tyrande expressing distrust… pretty sure Tyrande outright rejected the Nightborne elves, completely, due to their over reliance on arcane magic.

Horde also helped save the Nightborne from the exact same issues, and they didn’t discriminate.

IF your upset about the Nightborne, you’ve no one but the night elves to blame.

I don’t know whether to admire your tenacity in the face of continued logical refutations of your premise or to cringe a little at what has become the metaphorical But they could if the wanted to!! foot stomping of a stubborn 5 year old being told no.

No, forget that - I do know.

Don’t forget that the horde also aided the nightborne and it was just not Tyrandes dismissal and hostile attitude to them but the blood elves understanding and helpful one that tipped the scales.

I promise you I do not care. No one here works for Blizzard (thank god)

Well no, I blame Blizzard’s hamfisted writing. Night Elves don’t actually exist IRL.

They did it with the Army of the Light as well. Apparently Horde helping them defeat the Burning Legion wasn’t enough to stop them from going ham on the Horde’s allies in Zandalar.

Point is, it doesn’t really matter what kind of story lead-up there is. Races will join whichever faction Blizzard chooses.

You must have forgotten the part where the Alliance fire mages were lighting the vulpera on fire.

No they’ll be Horde. The Alliance are out there roasting them, why in the world would the Vulpera want to join the Alliance after that?

Yeah, but Vulpera literally have no reason to join the alliance.

This isn’t a split situations where both sides helped the Vulpera out.

This is horde breaking the vulpera out of slavery and protecting them, while the alliance sends purge squads with flame throwers trying to wipe them out.

Don’t even get me started on that… apparently some galaxy brain decided it would be neat to have Draenei allied with fel-powered warlocks “purging” native creatures from their lands… Immediately after an expansion where the final act revolved around Draenei defeating their evil fel-powered warlock cousins who had been trying to purge them.

Don’t forget we’ve also got Void Elves who literally sprang into existence for the Allied Race quest.

What I’m saying is that if Blizzard wants a race to be in a faction or be neutral then they will invent a reason for it out of whole cloth.

Maybe it doesn’t make sense now but I would not put it past Blizzard at all to say “well here’s this one faction of Vulpera that went out drinking with dwarves that one time and now they’re Alliance.”

Well, I really hope they don’t pull this with Vulpera, as it makes no sense.

Also I’ve already adopted like 12 of them, they can’t go alliance now.

They’re like mouse-fox-jackrabbit people or something, right? 12 should be plenty to have them create their own faction just for you.

I don’t think it works that way…

I cannot see any current reason why the Vulpera would be neutral. They’ve only had good interactions with the horde, being pivotal in the Voldun questline, and have only had terrible interactions with the Alliance.

That’s where the dwarves and their alcohol come in. See, I knew there was a reason for Alliance to get Vulpera!

I would like the Vulpera to specifically go up to Tyrande and Malfurion, and explain why their aiding the Horde is OK. I want the Vulpera to explain how it’s OK for the Horde to commit genocide via burning innocent civilians alive and their homes and their supporting those that do so is OK for the Horde, but NOT ok for the Alliance to retaliate in kind.

Really, I want to see it, the hypocritical buggers…

“Well you two, it was mostly the flamethrowers and BBQ’d family members…but the destroying our supplies and leaving us to die in the desert didn’t help either. Oh, and that whole thing where the Horde nicely came along and freed the slaves didn’t hurt either.”

I think that should about sum it up.
