Yeah, a few might break away from the pack and do something else. However the player is not apart of that pack.
We use doomhammer and ashbringer but we're not an exceptional member of our species? Ok then. Logical.
Don't put words in my mouth. I never said we were not exceptional.
I said that the player character doesn't break away from the race fantasy in terms of WoW lore. If that happened, then every race should be every class then.
Aka there are Dreanei rogues, blood elf druids, undead paladins, and more rare race combinations in game currently, just the players are not apart of that group since it's generally a sub group and goes against the races overall theme. Especially since WoW's character growth is about adventures who rise to the challenge and become champions. Well, app but the two lore heavy classes (DK and DH).
Vulpera are freaks. I will relentlessly initiate vote kicks on any Vulpera characters if they come about, and start up an opposite faction toon with warmode enabled to relentlessly camp them until the fur all over their freaky bodies is matted with furry tears.
You all though the guy who hated pandaren and would camp redridge on a hordie then come to the forums with huge diary like posts was single minded in his focus? You all have seen NOTHING.
This is deathwing levels of salt. And I know salt, I'm salty enough to supply a thousand pilgrimages to mecca salty (because of reasons unrelated to wow) and even I think this is a salty post.
I just can't wait to see the lame Alliance equivalent since Blizzard is pretty much indifferent to everything on that side until the very last second when they remember we exist and they should probably support the other half of the playerbase a little bit.
It's looking like it may end up being mecha gnomes of some kind based entirely off a missable mysterious vault door hidden in a mechanical trash heap in kultiras and a nearby, also very missable, gnome investigator claiming that kultiras used to have a significant gnome population but they pulled a dwemer and vanished.
despite being told both exist and the general wherabouts I really haven't been able to find either the gnome or the vault door.

A gnome based allied race is probably in the cards, but I don't expect them to be an 8.2 release alongside what we assume will be Vulpera. Blizzard has specifically said they wanted to introduce races prior to having them join a faction, this was the reason Zandalari had to wait for 8.1. Following this logic, if Blizzard wanted to add these elusive gnomes, they would want to introduce them prior to 8.2 release. Since we haven't dug up a scrap of content related to them on the 8.1 PTR, I feel confident in saying if they are planned, they are going to be introduced in 8.2 and then actually joining a faction in 8.3. Alliance gets sneks in 8.2. I promise

I will offer a rebutalle to that in the form of Void Elves. They are only a few hundred at best, less then some divergent race/class combos weâve seen in game, and yet they made a whole race. There is also the question as to why everyone, even races that just came into the world at large, can learn monk skills, but Worgen and Goblins still canât for some reason.
Plus some of the class/race restrictions donât make much sense from a lore standpoint, part of why they had the expantion back in cata to allow things like Blood Elves who learned to swing a sword normally, or Forsaken who could shoot a bow with master archer skill.
I just realized Vulpera may follow in the footsteps of their real life cousins and become an invasive species.
Sure they're confined to a little island now but as soon as some get to Orgrimmar and players see how awesome they are, everybody will reroll one and the population will explode and starve all the native horde species!
For the sake of Kalimdor, we need to stop this before we drown in Vulpera!
...No, they should go to the Alliance since the Horde helped them so much they should turn their back on them just like the Nightborne did to the Alliance...
How come the horde are never hurt the Lightforged snubbed them?
Draenei have never been horde... So, why would Lightforged be? Anway, I don't see any reason the Vulpera shouldn't be Alliance instead of Horde. I would be ok if they were the next neutral race though.
good idea making a megathread to herd everyone that shares this horrible desire together. gonna need a larger ban hammer to get rid of all you furries.

Any particular reason you don't like furries or do you just find comfort in mocking anything that falls outside of your personal definition of normal?

Good luck! Furrys mix with all classes of society and are therefore most dangerous. That and there are several of us at various positions in Blizzard >:3
What is it about Furries that inspires such vitriol? Also, what's with the assumption that everyone who wants playable Vulpera is a member of Furry Fandom?
Were these people traumatized by a stuffed animal as Toddlers?
I mean, I want to play a Vulpera. But I have no desire to dress up in a cartoon animal costume IRL.
I worked Disney World's 'Zoo Crew' when I was younger. Hated it.
Anyway, I look forward to the sweet taste of their tears when Vulpera become a playable Horde race.

They're just an easy target. A relatively visible minority that people can pick on to feel more secure about themselves and feel more accepted.
Also, what's with the assumption that everyone who wants playable Vulpera is a member of Furry Fandom?
"I designed my character to be as sexually appealing as possible therefore everybody else must be choosing their avatars exactly the same way" Alternatively "It's a lot easier to assume there's only one reason to like X than try to understand there could be many different reasons to like X" (applies to a lot more than just warcraft races by the way)
Were these people traumatized by a stuffed animal as Toddlers?
No, they just like to fit in and saying "Look at the weird furries" is an easy way to get people to laugh with you. They're just insecure.

Not every furry is into costumes. But your point stands that there's a lot of reasons to like vulpera. There's just a lot of different ways to be a furry too.

What is it about Furries that inspires such vitriol?
A couple of reasons. First, thereâs this thing that we like animal people stuff, and much of it outside the fandom is often aimed at kids, so weâre seen as people who refuse to âgrow upâ and like only âadult thingsâ.
Second, the fandom has had a !@#$-ton of negative press made up about us. Several magazine articals, âdocumentariesâ that are heavily biased, and mocking TV shows all portraying furries are nothing more the perverse sexual deviants who are maladjusted in life and society. Coverage has gotten better, with a lot of newspapers and such now embracing us (or more likely, the money our cons dump into the local economy). A lot still ignore or downplay the rather sizeable charity work and outreach type activites that furries engage in (look up the program Give Kids The World).
Third, and possibly the most subtly important, the furry fandom has for most itâs life been a major safe space for LGBTQ folk were they could really be themselves through the guise of a fiction avatar. There are a number of groups that have condemed the fandom for our acceptance of them and claim that weâre recruiting because of the people who come into the fandom âstraightâ and begin exploring such things.

Eevee answered the rest pretty spot on. Many of us donât have suits (cause they are expensive as hell!) and there are several furs who are activly creeped out by them!

Well, even if there are no furrys on Blizzard, they certainly do not feel disturbed by them like some others!
I about laughed my !@# off when I found that item and the âmorning afterâ animation that went with it. Couldnât believe Blizzard slipped that in.

I'm already drafting the celebration thread.
You honestly make me crack up and smile. Hahahaha <3 I agree, I need to be in that thread with my Vulpera if/when that happens. She's gonna be awesome.
