Holy bats I've missed a lot o.o Yus I know I'm loved, and I definitely want Vulpera as well, I'm glad to help you guys ^^ This thread gives me a good smile, you folk are wonderful. Also, sucky elves... I love it. I mean, it's true, we do suck. Bahaha!
Best guess for class choice, if vulpera were playable:
Death Knight: No Hero classes for allied races.
Paladin: Possibly. Though there is a gaping hole for Pally races on horde, so itâs possible. Although it seems like Vulpera would be better attuned for nature healing, than holy healing.
Warrior: Definitely, all races can be warriors.
Hunter: Definitely, all races can be hunters.
Shaman: Possibly, just like paladin. Whether they are more attuned with light or nature will determine their healer choices.
Druid: Doubtful, because there have already been a new Druid option for BFA, and Druids require lots of new art models and animations.
Rogue: Most likely. Vulpera seems to fit well with rogues, being foxy and sneaky.
Demon Hunter: No Hero classes for allied races.
Monk: I have a feeling that vulpera could be monks, although this is 100% a hunch.
Mage: Probably, Mage is already open to most races, and I see no reason that vulpera would be averse to Mage schools of magic.
Warlocks: Also probably. Warlocks arenât as widely represented as mages, but nothing would be cooler than a dark magic wielding foxy warlock!
Priests: Probably not, because again Vulpera seem more attuned to nature healing classes (shaman, monk) than Priest/paladin. However they allowed goblins to be priests so who knows.

I disagree, priests are the #1 choice for Vulpera because of.. reasons.
GOOD reasons.
Wasn't there a Vulture mount datamined? They changed it didn't they? I really wanted the damn thing too.
The hard part is picking between Rogue and Mage, if I'm honest.

There was. But it's used by NPCs for now, IIRC.
I really liked the Kitsune counter argument. That was really well done. Just because itâs not your ancient mythological creature doesnât mean it shouldnât exist.
And outside of the Zootopia comments the are numerous Fox humanoids across video game and movie history. Disneyâs Robinhood, StarFox, Ratchet and Clank etc etc

I agree with most of this list and the reasons behind it.
If the Vulpera are able to wield the light as priests or even maybe paladins, they may do so the way the Tauren sunwalkers do by worshipping the sun, which would make a lot of sense for a desert race.
Light and nature magic need not preclude each other either. Many races can do both
But yes, we don't know for sure

You are very much welcome. There are more besides, but that's the one that came to mind quickly.

Going by folk tales and fables involving foxes, rogue is a very good choice.

I wonder how close of a mog to Disney's Robin Hood I can get...
You know, just curious
Also, while Western depictions of foxes would have them as rogues, eastern depictions would more represent mages, priests or even warlocks

I hope they put in a vulpera NPC wearing green leathers and holding a simple bow into the game. Have him give you a quest line where you rob a noble and give the loot to farmers.
Of course the "panda player" is posting this thread lol

I definitely hope they do a few cheeky references to other mediums. (Somebody mentioned two vulpera dashing around in a melee fight on a floating island which tickled me pretty hard) but I don't want them to go TOO overboard with jokes like that. The people against vulpera are usually against them for being a "joke" race, and I don't think it's a good idea to feed that narrative too much.
...But yeah, a vulpera in a green outfit who rewards you with a leather hat called the "Robbin' Hood" for some well intentioned thieving I would like to see
